The only difference is that now she will have to fight to apply her vision of the lawyer's job and ethic and try not to become a monster herself.
personally i think the remake is better than the taiwanese version
The Taïwan version deals with darker themes like friend betrayal, murders, murderers, mourning a lost daughter, drugs schemes, non blood related incest, hostage situation... It is more gripping and more intense with more fantasy.
If you are only at ep4, well... the remaining eps are even more different from the original story. The themes are the ones of cdrama and for chinese audience : cheating, divorce, professional rivalry, gambling, bullied citizens... You should not expect a huge mystery about finding the identity of any murderer. The main plot here is to prevent a death.
I liked the Taiwanese version especially the humor but I think that this version is better. The characters are more sensitive, the romance is cute, the plot is decent and the time travel fantasy part is done better. Overall I enjoyed this version more.

After they saved Jirong they knew someone had to die to compensate and it was CJL. The exchange is quite unfair because Jirong is really not a great person. 2022 HZY decided to save her from being killed by Sun Defeng and die in her stead. He managed to prevent the hit and run but strangeley he started to walk relaxed. I don't know if he forgot that someone had to die. Because he recorded a video he would be the one to die. Maybe he thought it would be someone else. Maybe he started to believe he could live happily with CJL. He thought he was throught but because 2021HZY and 2021CJL were streaming live, it triggered Sun Defeng to change his mind and attack him. That's the real tragic part for me.
Before he dies, a transfer or merge of memories between 2021HZY happens. It allows CJL to have interactive memories of the man she loved in a person who loves her. She surely knows it is not the same man but 2022HZY wished her to be happy seeing "his" face everyday and enjoying the memories he left to his 2021 self. So she accepted updated 2021HZY and chose happiness, Not sure she loves 2021HZY. Maybe not yet but she will probably soon practising these memories together.
If 2022HZY went back to 2022. What would have happened? Maybe CJL would still be dead? Because one had to die. So what happened had to happen.

In the result yes. In the way it is done, not same. I like the ending in this version better. There is a touch of tragedy in the way the FL is saved from her sad demise and afterwards, the way she deals with the aftermath is less focused on fantasy and more on human relationships and the acceptation of things in life. The next time they go back, they go back to T1 2021 the origin of T1 2022 they are in. But the same way they create a new timeline T2 , they go back to T2 2022. And so on...
So everytime they changed 2021, they created a new 2022 and in the occurence, let say Tn, Tn 2022HZY goes back to Tn 2021. He saves Tn 2021 CJL from death but dies there. This creates a new timeline Tn+1 2021 which will flow to Tn+1 2022 where Tn+1 2021HZY become a new and different Tn+1 2022HZY.

Jirong is bland, a boredom, a snoozefest. Plus she can't even put her brother in his right place. If I am Jiang Sheng Hao I sign the divorce papers with my two hands and I go party with friends and good champagne.
