The leads look cute. I just hope the story is not as trashy as Forget you Remember Love. fingers crossed.

I prefer happy endings but I don't mind unhappy endings as long as it is logical and add to the intensity and depth of the story. Some drama have disappointing endings but it does not spoil the whole drama so it is also fine. I just don't like outrageous (Goodbye my princess, Sword Dynasty...) or nonsensical endings (TKEM).

I agree accusing Yong San's brother of fraud when he was just presenting a business plan was excessive and a professional mistake. He could have said the guy did not know about his subject and about the evolution of batteries technology but fraud? There is no thief if there was not theft.

Almost anything can happen in drama so maybe the writer could have reversed the situation. I know there are some fan fictions on Internet to give Han Ji Pyeong a happy ending but I am not interested. He derserved the ending he was given. The guy never understood the meaning of all the kindness given to him.

Seo Jun was more endearing for me because he had a whole world around him (mother, sister, friends, FL, enemies, past issues to deal with... ) and his one sided crush looked quite realistic too, how he was friendzoned with no chance to escape from it. But I still don't ship him with the FL.

HJP was a second male lead written with the attributes of a male lead : a typical tsundere, successful self made man who has a fake "fated" relationship with a girl he falls in love with later. But he never develops, never becomes a warm person or approachable and sympathetic to people and never wins the girl.

NDS was a first male lead written with the attributes of a second male lead : a typical second to arrive on the scene, a bit bland, not assertive guy with plenty of issues and not likely to fare well but the girl liked him and they find success together.

The writer was clear about what she wanted to do but she pushed the confusion too far in ep1 and misled a huge part of the audience. Anyone who fell in Love with kid orphan HJP was doomed to be disappointed. Lucky me I found he was full of flaws (not shit, lol ) from the very beginning.

I am sure she broke up with a few guys before Song Joong Ki and with Song Joong Ki it was more than a break up. It was a divorce.

I have seen him in Start up, Dodosol, IOTNBO. He is a good actor and I enjoy watching him but for me, he is no ML material. I am not a fan of noona romances but still I'll give this a chance as I've always liked the two lead actors.

Maybe DOTS took some ideas from that book because it's the same set up of plot. Lol.

Yes it is possible you are right but this thing of being sent to another place to help and struggle with an earthquake, going to another country, that's a lot like DOTS. Your comment is intriguing because usually only the military are sent abroad for safekeeping mission. Polices have international collaborations but they rarely go abroad for safekeeping during national turmoils. I guess we should not expect a total remake line by line and frame by frame but still, these two drama have quite a few ideas in common.

I like Johnny Huang and Li Qing and this story is original for me. The other drama is a remake and although I like Sandra Ma, I think the male lead looks too young. Strange because he is just one year younger than Johnny Huang by visually he looks much younger. Not really the age of an elite policeman rather a rookie one. But I will still give it a try.

I also like the trailer. 31eps is good. So they won't have the time to mess the story up.

You Are My Hero (2021) is the chinese remake of Descendent of the Sun. This one has also a surgeon woman and a military guy but I think the story will be different.

Yes because she looks a young teen compared to him and there is nothing about him to make the magic happen. It is all about a old man winning over a young woman and she falls for him nobody knows why. It's a lame plot.

Who cares? Start up is among the best kdrama of 2020 by most of the media outlets which made a ranking. Sad for you but true.

KSH did good in this drama but HJP was a mess... lol. You only enjoyed what you wanted to enjoy because you thought this drama would be what you wanted it to be. Sorry for you. haha... NDS and SDM all the way!!
