Some have reached a level of delusion and frustration so high that their posts contain hate and disparagement for some characters and it creates toxicity to the point people must be carefull reading this comment section or they can really spoil their own enjoyment of watching the drama.
SDM is quite immature, so i'm not very surprised. The only adults in the show are HJP, WIJ and Grandma.

In the drama, the events are that Dal Mi met Do San thinking he is her old Do San. She told him she liked him for his nice hands. Meaning she likes his handsomeness. She is attracted physically. This is why she does not mind putting her hand in his or jumping in his arms. If he was the one who wrote the letters and looked like the Penguin in Batman 2, she would have thought twice before hugging him. But she is attracted by the physical side of him like many people would fall in love with someone's face or just the hair, or eyes or physical presence without knowing who that person is. It started from there.
Then she learnt about his qualities and flaws. She said to grandma she would still choose old Do San as she has noticed new NDS has differences with old NDS but she also says she doesn't mind the differences because the moments of difference make her heart flutter.
Dal Mi is slowly falling for the Real NDS and when they go to the seashore, she finally acknowledges to grandma that she likes him and she is so happy.
When HJP tells her he wrote the letters who are so dear to her she does not even care about him. The only thing she is worried about and that makes her distress is if the feelings do San has for her and she has for him are fake. Because she has come to love Do San and she doesn't care about HJP or the writer of the letters.
What HJP shippers do not want to acknowledge is that the fake letters and the fake NDS 's story made her lower her guard and accept new NDS easier but it does not mean that she was not attracted to him in the first place. It does not mean that her feelings for him and his for her are not genuine. They want to hold on their deluded story that HJP is her childhood lover and that they must be reunited and NDS just stole his background.

Do San is right. In Jae has an emotional insecured side that she wants to hide. When Dal Mi caught her stealing her story, In Jae said sorry but she needed to elude the situation with an half baked justification. So the came with an underhanded attack on Dal Mi's confidence and right to be in Sand Box. She was not right. She had no elements to back that attack as Dal Mi showed enough quality to prove she was at her place and she was doing well so far without showing she was scared or overwhemed.
Dal Mi was astonished by the aggressive and out of line move from her sister which put her on her back foot. Dal Mi surely she is and will be strong enough to answer her sister and if not grab her by the hair and fight with her like when they were young. But Do San was there to support Dal Mi this time. I don't think he exceeded his role. In Jae became tight lipped because Do San said something true to her.

If it has to be a love triangle after a time jump. It has to be fair. I think the return of Do San will trigger Dal Mi too make a choice. Then the game will be to develop this choice and explain it with the loosing side finally supporting them. I don't see her going back and forth between the two men. It would be horrible to watch.

HJP is turning into a bad person because he is still lying to Dal Mi and he is trying to steal a girfriend from her boyfriend (They have not broken up yet) by forcing his way to be next to Dal Mi and bullying poor Do San since he has a dominant position as mentor of SST. It looks nasty from him.
The way they can turn the table is time jump. A stunt. But it can be very efficient. Time jump will place all of them in a new context with new perspectives like magic:
- Do San will work abroad, become successful, knowledgeable, competent, famous and recognized. His status will be closer to HJP's one and they will be able to compete with the same assets.
- HJP will take care of Grandma and Dal Mi for 3 years. He will show a warmer side of himself and his empathy and ability to care for people in general will come closer to Do San's one.
- Dal Mi will use the time to bury fake NDS and recover from the lies. She will reflect on the past and be able to forgive the two men and Grandma. She will be more independant and accomplished.
So clean slate. News cards, New game.
The Love triangle will become more healthy and focused on what positive talent they can demonstrate to woo Dal Mi. And it can go either way.
The drama would not even have to fear the backlash from the fans as they can defend themselves and say hey, the characters have evolved and it was a fair game.
Okay, After watching these dramas, I have a pending question...How do people go from living together as brother…
When they are brought up as siblings and raised as such, they develop a big understanding of each other and they care for each other and worry about the other... They have "feelings" for each other. But the moral, the law, the nature, the society and the education... will not allow them to become lover and creates a legal, psychological and natural barrier. People who would cross the line are nuts and deviants.
But when you don't have the legal obstacle or the moral obstacle or the biological obstacle (same flesh same blood) the social obstacle, then sometimes, they end up crossing the line because the "feelings" will draw them to be so close that the bodies crave to be close too.
I have never witnessed in my life former siblings becoming lovers. But I agree it can happen. Sometimes, a brother and a sister of recomposed families and raised as siblings can end up loving each other and be couple.
This drama was delayed for so long it scares me to not try it. And if it is true all eps are released at once, it is even more scary... People plz give feedback.
