HJP is not Cyrano. He never poured his heart in the letters like Cyrano did. In fact, HJP is the anti Cyrano. Cyrano was the soul who spoke to Roxanne and wrote the letters to her. HJP was nothing but merely an handwriting.

Many angst still to happen... Ji Pyeong getting over his own feelings, Grandma's conscience and illness, the older sister In Jae, her father in Law, the real kid on the swing, the one who wants revenge... but in the end Dal Mi+Do San forever.

Do San is the Guvernor. He will win the cup and kiss the princess. HJP can go clean the stables.

HJP has everything but he has nothing at the same time. Remember this episode? NDS tells him "I only have one thing that matters the most to me. Why you want to take it from me when you have an appartment overlooking the Han river and a watch that cost thousands?" . HJP says "Let's exchange". And NDS says "No thanks".

HJP is the poorest of these two. Because he is rich in Money but he is poor in Love.

Nothing to fear. Their good star is looking upon them.

Agree with you. All this mess happened because of her good intention materialized in lies that she carried on for15 years and now, she is still trying to make poor HJP help her keep the lie going.

The problem is not that they set up a backstory for HJP. It is that many people misunderstood that backstory. It was not made to tell people he has a connexion from childhood with SDM. It was made to tell people he missed his chance to have a connexion with her in childhood.

This is his tragedy and there will be no rebound because it was never him from the beginning.

Why would I? Do San is the one the stars chose for Dal Mi since the very moment Grandma and HJP chose his name in the newspaper for the fake penfriend.

The stars looked at them and said "You wanna play destiny? You wanna behave like you are us? Impersonating us and giving something only we can give or not. We will give you a lesson. We will make the one you chose to steal his name and identity, steal the heart of the girl you wanted to fool ". LOL...

I liked it when their eyes met in the park and time was suspended. I liked it when they met again at the night event and she saw that guy from the park earlier. Fate made them fall for each other before he knew her name and before she knew his fake identity. lol.

Of course they are cute, like when she puts her hand in his, when she jumps on him and hugs him, when she takes him in her arms at the seashore.. Many people think they are not cute because he is a fake but sorry no... They are blinded by the fake HJP backstory. In her heart, since the park, fake or not, she has been liking him.

Grandma, Ji Pyeong, the lies.. nothing can stop them because they are a match in heaven.

I still like the Do San and Dal Mi's love story better. It is more romantic and cute. All the lies and past events are just here to bring them together, test their feelings and bind them nicely as an assorted couple of lovebirds.

So this is it? His motivation is that he wants to sleep with her? .... ok. Why not. :-)

The tragedy of Ji Pyeong is not that he sacrified so much and he still won't be rewarded. His tragedy is that he was never in the right timing.

She is too much into Do San already. The truth about the letters will not make her have a change of heart now.

We knew we would not escape the Love triangle so ... Love triangle wise, ep9 was good. Fun, heartwarming, suspenseful... and the ending was surely cliché but still emotional.

Why grandma is so short sighted and can only think of keeping the lie going? This is so wrong. Seeing Dal Mi so happy in her relationship she should understand it is time to tell the truth and not the other way around.. What is she thinking?

Ji Pyeong, it is your moment. The moment which will define you: a hero or a zero. lol.

Do San. Stop crying silly boy. Everything will be alright. You said it yourself.

Sooner or later, it was expected Dal Mi would find the truth. It is not fast enough but at least we are advancing a little in the plot. Ep 10 plz!!

HJP is ten times more flawed than NDS. I don't speak about lying because they both lied out of good intentions. I speak about their natural character and temper.

- HJP is hot headed like when he yelled at Grandma despite the goodness she showed to him.
- He is a liar and does underhanded things like when he used Grandma's account without telling her.
- He made money for himself using Grandma's account and called all the money his and ran away with it. He did not consider a decent investor shall remunerate the mean he used to make money. At least he could have given some to Grandma without her knowledge to show he is considerate.
- Yes he is inconsiderate of others like when he talked to STT members his achievement rate his so great he would not risk it for them. He insulted their business plan and said they have no potential but they would win CODA.
- He is tactless and pretentious like when after NDS helped him and Grandma' scheme for a day, he told NDS to keep the nice suits because his style was so...(lousy). NDS felt insulted but gently refused this charity.
- He is mean without a reason like when NDS told him he would help Dal Mi during the Hackathon and HJP insulted him out of nowhere saying NDS caused his two friends to loose two years of their life and they should ask for compensation.
- He has not respect for NDS and pulls him and drags him like a sack of potatoe like in the park when he came to stop him before he meets Dal Mi or at the Hackathon when he is afraid she knows something. Lucky for him NDS is a nice guy and not a thug or he would have been punched in his disrespectful face already.
- He talks like he knows everything and he can look down on STT or on Grandma because he feels that they don't understand anything like he does.
- HJP yelled at Grandma at Sandbox like she was wrong she never reached for him to help but this idiot lived 15 years quietly without worrying about the old woman who saved his life if she is well or dead.
- He is hot headed again and easily vexed when NDS tells him he will tell the truth to Dal Mi and that 15 years old fake letters cannot make STT and Dal Mi, it's leader, collapse. HJP is so pissed off, he drives back recklessly to stop NDS.
- And last but not the least, when he planned to piss NDS off showing him his (Do San's) girlfriend' scrunchie she lost in his car and he was laughing... what a jerk.

See, Do San might have some flaws like he is a bit too nice, not assertive enough, looks like a door mat at times... but he is never as flawed as HJP. And HJP's past cannot be an excuse.

It means sanitary pads needed.
