He experienced the death of his parents at a young age. He almost drowned and was fished out of the river by a weird girl. He had to run away with his brother too. He surely had plenty of hardships so it is weird how he can be so good to others. Yes maybe there something wrong about him. Regarding him and she, there is a possibility they don't end together.

She probably witnessed the death of her mother and her father trying to strangle her... This is enough to create a trauma. She is lucky she is not completely crazy. I don't think she will be "cured" from this. Maybe she will come to terms with her mother and her father and find some peace of mind but her personality and antisocial behavior won't change.

But he is not crazy. He is a caring reasonable man dedicated to the ones he loves and to his patients.

I am from asian origin. I have traveled to Laos, Thailand, China, Vietnam... I have seen enough old men eating young grass to know that there is no love in this so stop lecturing me ok? You want it to be a norm and something nice in your world? Good for you even if most people in your world in Thailand, Laos , Vietnam, China hate it nowadays.. Don't talk to me like it is my superiority complex ok? It is just your own hypocrisy about paternalistic societies where women are seen and used as goods. You like a drama promoting an old man old and pale like he is close to his own tomb having a so called love story with a young fun dynamic girl? ... Yeah they don't really care about international audience.. they are only promoting this kind of shitty old cow eat young grass logic in their own national audience... lol.

These are two different dramas airing at two different times. They don't really compete one against another. Backstreet rookie is higher because it is fun and crazy with meaningful moments. It's OK not to be OK is not for every viewers because of it's world and tone. But remember a popular drama does not mean a good drama.

In China, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand ... Saudi Arabia, plenty of eastern countries where old cows eating young grass is acceptable and even legal... Just don't tell me we the west should be open minded enough to see it as acceptable. It is not. It is shit.

JCW said he does not want to do action dramas anymore because he does not want to be categorized as an action actor for action drama after works like Healer or K2. He wants to try something else this is why he chose Melting Me Softly and Backstreet Rookie. MMS failed because the funny parts were not assumed by his character, the plot was super weird and he had no chemistry with the female lead. At least in Backstreet rookie the two main leads look good together and JCW totally assumes the crazy funny part himself. People can say what they want but he is trying to improve himself in his acting. It is better than some actors who after 10 years they always play the same kind of character.

Openminded? Is old cows eating young grass something the West needs to be open minded about compared to the East? Don't haha me. I am the one to haha you. LOL.

This is where the secret is. Never ask. Never behave like this someone is in a relationship. If that person also behaves towards you like he/she has no one... it smells good.

I agree that ep 3 is a bit disconcerting because apart from the moments of MY in the old mansion and a few nice interactions between our two heroes, it introduces a sub story which is fun but handled in a tone very different from the two first eps and the only reason of that is for KT to ask MY "should I have fun with you"? People may think it is inconsistent compared to the previous 2 eps but OK, for me it was fun. I know we will have plenty probably others sub stories in this drama and I don't mind. I just want the main soryline to be consistent and coherent.

I guess they don't really have a choice. 16 eps only building on the main leads and their social disorders would be too heavy and it would become boring. They need to use sub stories and link these to the character building of the main leads. The drama has made a bet on a very strange universe that they need to develop beyond the mains characters. For me it is not a real issue but they need to do it in a better way than in HDL. In HDL the sub stories were very fun but the main storyline was quite confusing.

If you like someone try your chance. It doesn't matter he or she is single or not. That's the rule number one because if you only wait for a person who is single you are wrong. Great persons are mostly taken. Just take it like... It is a war. Lol.

I think JCW is doing pretty well and the drama is funny and interesting so far. They both have backstories which need to be told. This will be better than Melting me softly anyway.

YJ doesn't really love DH. You can tell looking at the way she treats him. He will get rid of her before he goes to SB.

She has mental disorder due to childhood trauma. Just focus on the story. No need to use her as an example for daily SWJ's fights.
