I agree with you on the only two I have seen both versions of: Death Note, and the Liar and His Lover. I really liked the original Death Note movies. I think the casting and acting were really good. I am not hating on Yamaken but the movies were just better in my opinion. I liked the drama for the Liar and His Lover better than the movie though. I didn't dislike the movie but if I had to pick I prefer the drama. I don't know if that is because of my love for both Lee Hyun Woo and Joy or I just thought it suited a drama better but I liked the sweet love story in the drama^^
At first I didn't know if I would like this series that much. The first episode didn't win me over, but after that I realized that this series really does have heart. (Give it more than the first episode, I promise.) The great thing about this story is that even if you don't like the main trio, the supporting trio will still keep you watching. Although this seems to be a typical story, it doesn't exactly go as you might think, and I think there are some good themes as well. I got more invested in the supporting trio's story (Sun, In, and Ainam) but that doesn't mean that Oh and Peach didn't have some great moments. This also set us up for Pong's story in the next series Monster Romance..... ALSO Edge of 17 had a great soundtrack!
This movie was hilariously bizarre in the best way. If you need something fun, and entertaining without too much thought, this movie is for you. I loved the leads. ( Shoutout to Mike D'Angelo's wig ... it was crazy looking.)
I really really liked this drama. The only reason I didn't give it a full 10 is because it dragged a little around the end after she started unraveling the truth. (Also there were no kisses in the second half and that made me a little sad. ) That being said this drama was an emotional roller coaster from start to finish. I loved all of the characters,(except Qianni who was one dimensional, and her father) I think this drama did a great job of developing a lot of characters and really making you feel. I know alot of people have qualms in particular with Yiting's character, and I would agree in real life, but in drama land I do think he was well written and I think that Marcus Chang did a great job. This drama was a bit like Beauty and the Beast mixed with Romeo and Juliet and it was fun and sometimes frustrating to watch the MC's grow and become stronger humans, or just find their humanity at all. Special shoutout to Su Zhongwen who was one of my favorite silly side characters ^^ ALSO. The music in this is so good. The opening by Shi Shi made me go and listen to many of her songs. The opening is my favorite opening ever.
U-Prince Series: The Single Lawyer had some BL (Singto from SOTUS ^^.) I know this answer is probably late though
Thank you I will have to put it in my queue ^^ Someone literally just recommended both of those to me in a youtube comment on the My Dear Loser series.
I might be the only one but I am ABSOLUTELY looking forward to all of the Thai remakes. I LOVED the Thai version of Mischievous Kiss and Full House. I wasn't a big fan of YWCFTS but I think that I will watch it as well because of Nadech. (I will probably wait a bit to watch Fated to Love You because that one hurts...alot.) Hana Yori Dango was my first drama though so the Japanese version will always be my favorite, so I might not bother with another version of it.
I was afraid to watch this, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Not only was this a gorgeously shot film and a beautiful love story, but it made me think as well. So many times people set stipulations for their happiness in a relationship but what if you meet someone who is perfect for your but doesn't fit into your perfect made up set of rules?
Side note: the romance in this actually made me blush. None of that non-blinking stiff faced kissing.
Noooooo! What's happening with the second female? I'm definitely not loving the development. Why do writers…
I read an article on MDL once that talked about how sismances are so rare in K-dramas. Rarely does the female MC get to have a best friend that is a girl, and I am starting to think back on all the K-dramas that I have watched and it is really right I think. It is sad, but pretty rare. TT Hyun Soo already has people like her sister being terrible she doesn't need her friend to do that tooTT
I like the writer who wrote the novel that Boss and Me was adapted from, Gu Man. The drama adaptations for his novels are all great. Another Gu Man adaptation is 'Love o2o' which is my favorite Chinese drama (the movie was okay but I feel like the drama was really special.) They also did a drama for 'Yes, Mr. Fashion' which I have watched about 12 episodes of. 'Yes, Mr. Fashion' is pretty silly so far but fun. It's good to know you get good wifi in Isengard!
After reading all of the bad reviews on this movie, I was actually very hesitant to watch it. But having no prior knowledge about the story ( I haven't watched the anime nor read the manga) I decided to take a chance anyway....and I am glad I did. I really think the actors sold this movie. Nakagawa Taishi really sold the regretful adult role, while Tiara Yuna really played a socially awkward girl well. This movie made me feel both nostalgia for the days of my youth when I worked hard to fulfill my dreams, and hope that even though I am an adult I too should live in the moment and still work hard. (I mean I can't take a pill to go back but that doesn't mean I can't move forward still.)
I want to watch this drama but I just finished Kluen Cheewit and Mark and Yaya were so good. Is this good? I see…
Thank you for recommending this show. I really like rom-com's and I love the hate to love stories. I see now why Yaya and Nadech are a koo-jin pairing, they were so cute in this that I couldn't stop smiling. If you know anymore rom-coms please recommend. I like shows like Kluen Cheewit but they aren't my usual because they kind of emotionally exhaust me. Rom-com's are my favorite but I am willing to branch out. ( I am just a sucker for romance)
I really want to watch this drama, but I am sure my 3 years of Chinese is not good enough to understand it. Is there anywhere where it is completed with English Subs? I watched the first 12 episodes and I want to watch the rest
ALSO. The music in this is so good. The opening by Shi Shi made me go and listen to many of her songs. The opening is my favorite opening ever.
Side note: the romance in this actually made me blush. None of that non-blinking stiff faced kissing.
