The thirst for Han tae seok is real. Any scene that has him fighting or holding a gun is amazing
YESS omg I want him to K I L L M E with that voice and those lightening fast moves and that brain and that power and all that RAW sex-appeal FUCK T-T His wife is so lucky, he's such a MAN ( and another word I rarely use ) a real ALPHA.
The actor did an amazing job for his role. He did so well that it seemed like it's his real nature lolHe was annoying…
lol but honestly he's really good at it. He plays a despicable baddie really well, so instead of being typecast maybe he actually looks for roles like that because he nails it, do you think? xD
What a cute and heartwarming show. The female lead was cool and sweet, and the male lead was so fucking ADORABLE. He was always all smiles, but also sometimes serious, and always honest and I was just FOND of seeing the leads together. Loved it.
YES, YES, YES finally someone brave enough to speak the truth. This show was over hyped, and underwhelming and…
Agree with every single word! I have understood some of the FLs feelings and actions based on outside source material pointed out to me by some people in the replies above, but the actress was still subpar for me. And she was less than amazing in Crowned Clown too, that show was STUNNING otherwise. And these are the only two shows I've seen with her so far, so I'd say that is enough to form an opinion at least! And yes, the male lead (Lee Jun Ho) is a STELLAR actor, I absolutely love him in all of his shows so far. I have Mr. Sunshine on my list, going to get to it someday for sure, I have high expectations from it. If you liked Yeo Jin Goo in Crowned Clown, try watching Beyond Evil, he was absolutely amazing in it.
Somewhere in episode 6, one of the leads says a line, "When I was with you, it always felt like spring to me." C U T E It's such a cheesy line ofc but it was still really cute to me.
Enjoyed watching this show, although the plot was a little too focused on the idiocy of the savage tenants who were monsters of the worst kind really. It was well executed, almost like a play. Put greedy people together with limited resources distributed unequally, and they all become murderers.
My MAN the ULTIMATE and ONE AND ONLY Mr. Han Tae Seok was the MVP in the show till the very end. He was a scene stealer every single time he came on, showed true power and control, showed every one who's boss, and then went and used his brilliant mind to orchestrate things to perfection. He truly understood human behaviour, and he knew what would happen if humanity was put in a crisis like this, and was always prepared with a plan. And one major thing I loved about him (aside from his SEXINESS) was also how well he understood Ji Hyun's actions regarding Sae Bom, because he felt the same way for his wife. T-T We stan a loyal, intelligent, determined, loving, and strong man.
Loved the chemistry of the two leads, their partnership, and I really enjoy the devoted partners genre, where you truly want someone, instead of needing/being dependant on them. Can't call it a slow-burn romance, because there wasn't much of romance exactly but it was always implied. And they never really had to pretend to be married, their normal behaviour was enough that no one ever questioned them.
Also loved the hilarious Lawyer character, I really liked him in CLOY and The Devil Judge too.
I miss this show still, I have been reading so much amazing fanfiction of these two men who are absolutely adorable to imagine together because of the way their relationship developed throughout the show. It's an extremely character driven show and it's mesmerising to watch them build the story themselves and take it to its climax. The type of suspense that is slow, but keeps you on edge.

"WOW did I really just watch a show about two emotionally broken men falling HARD for each other while solving murder mysteries and sorting their own lives in the process? Because that's exactly what this show was. Beyond Evil shouldn't even be called a murder mystery, because this show isn't even about the murder itself, rather about the characters' life and their development. If you have the mind and heart to get emotionally connected to these brilliant and layered and strong and vulnerable characters, specially the two PHENOMENAL main leads who solve an extremely complicated series of mysteries but their feelings are the most complicated of all, then you will LOVE this show. This shows you happiness, regret, loss, guilt, atonement, sacrifice, love, care, family, selflessness, and strength of will. It was an absolute DELIGHT and I loved it."
