Honestly, I couldn't care less about the First Leads. I've just started Episode 35, and I can't stand how Gu Chuseng is being teased. The Emperor awarded him the Chancellor title to honor his late father, who sacrificed himself to stabilize the country. It’s okay that Chu Yu has fallen for someone else, but I expected her to make peace with her ex after he explained himself. She should have just said, "I understand, but you should have told me. It's all in the past, and I wish you well." That kind of honesty would have allowed Gu Chuseng to move on and actually help Chu Yu and Wei Yun be together, since he would be their supporter. Gu Chuseng isn't doing anything wrong by wanting to clear his family's name; Chu Yu did the same by marrying Wei Jun with lies.

I haven't watched today's episodes yet, but I am pissed with the previews for EP 24 & 25...... What the hell are they trying to do? To the world, she is your brother's widow... Only by coming clean with proof (Wei Jun's Letter) before the Emperor and Ministers, getting your deserved punishment for deceiving the Emperor, then getting a Pardon or the marriage granted from the Emperor and Princess.

Another thing they could have done is to even spread the rumor that she had lied for this reason amongst the people and then have her dragged before the court to plead her case and then her brother and Wei Yun will offer proof and explantion and plead too.. from there they would spread another rumor that Chu Yu would make a great match for the Marquis as she as the ability to be the real lady of the house etc.

Loving watching General Chu Lingyang observing Chu Yu and Wei Yun…..

Errrm.. Currently on Ep 22 and feels like the drama went downhill after episode 18. What's with this QinCheng guy? I seriously hitting the forward button until I see Rumu, Our cute dog/fox, and Fugui.

I actually feel so bad for Gu Chushen 😢 He’s not a bad guy; just a man caught between love and duty. All he wanted was to clear his family’s name, and in the process, he ended up breaking Chu Yu’s heart .

I get why he made that choice — the weight of family grievances can’t be ignored — but still… he should’ve told her. She deserved at least a warning, a heads-up, something.
