Unpopular opinion but I don’t really like that intense scene. Shi De was intoxicated forcing himself onto Shu Yi even after he told him to stop. Seeing Shi De forcefully push him and toss him around even though Shu Yi protested made me uncomfortable. The show is very interesting and I like where it’s going but i wish there was more outward consent in that scene.
In my opinion the ending could’ve been worse but personally for me I liked it. It’s obvious how much they love and care for each other. I think it’s nice to show how hard they’ll fight for each other Ex: geng geng saying how she’ll stay with yu huai no matter what when he was going through his issues. Also I think it’s reasonable for yu huai. Being an over achiever and suddenly failing has to be damaging. Since Yu huai always puts geng geng first its no surprise he didn’t want to drag her down. It’s obvious he still loves her since he got his arm tattood.
This is definitely one of my top 5 dramas ever. It wasn’t just a story between two leads there was many supporting characters that added more depth to the story. Watching this made me feel as if I was with the characters. The story didn’t follow stereotype at all. Every aspect and episode felt new and fresh. Yu Huai really made the show: the actor who played him made everything feel real. Same with the female lead - I loved how you could see her maturing throughout. The main lead romance didn’t need to be said in words. They showed their love for each other with their actions. Whether them wanting to be desk buddies forever or just their mannerism when the other was sad. All the characters were needed in the story. No one felt unnecessary or annoying. This drama will be very tearful but touching. Overall I can promise this drama will leave a mark on you.
First can we give Wayne credit for his acting. His pain felt so real as if I knew yu shi go personal. Another thing I feel as if I’m the only one who liked the ending. I would of course liked it if it was happier but it wasn’t necessarily bad either. I’m not surprised the writers decided to end it that way. We have a sweet love story of two people as they handle insecurities and their problem together. I felt as if a lot of scenes from the series were real at portraying this but not making it too cheesy to the point it’s unrealistic. I think the ending was nice because it actually shows how hao Hsiang grew because of him: we see the impact yu shi go had on him. He taught him to have motivation for something, to love someone, and to be happy about themselves. It was an interesting contrast to the story we’re used to. I think his death really made me personally realize just how much yu shi go affected his life. I think it’d be too obvious for them to have a happy story all through out. And as I would like that, I do appreciate this ending too
I still think Type is very toxic and controlling and bunch of other things. How ever I love how they portrayed his internalized homophobia and insecurities in this show. It really shows where all of these negatives and abusive thing stem from . He talks about how he hates himself everyday , which makes sense because he was once raped by a man and hated gays and now suddenly is one. Which is a lot to handle/come to terms with. You can tell he’s trying because he said “everything I do is for you Tharn.” The writer deserve credit for that part. It shows how Type hates himself but fights through it everyday for Tharn. He probably finds himself disgusting and low key humiliated about loving a man , but try’s his hardest to satisfy Tharn. This doesn’t excuse a lot of his actions AT ALL- but seeing where the paranoia and possessive side stems from is very interesting. For me personally I don’t like Type’s character but I think the point is for him to be unlikeable. It’s nice to see a very deep and intricate character
Yo turns out in the novel when Type sees Tharn and San “kissing” he punches San instead of Tharn. So I don’t know why’d he punches Tharn in the preview/ drama
You’re not exactly wrong but I have a question how do you actually feel about the drama and community? I don’t…
I have noticed Gulf and sometimes even Mews’s expression being the same too. I guess I just overlooked it and blamed it more on the directors for not correcting the actors/ for giving them lines or a scene where they can only show that one expression/ emotion. Also since Gulf is fairly new to acting I give him the pass. I’ve also noticed the scenery doesn’t change much and a lot of the show does take place in the room. I guess at that point it’s probably more of the writing. I do agree that there is a lot of over sexualization when it comes to this show and others mostly by the fans. Although I’ve noticed these things for me personally I guess my mind just overlooks them because the pros out weights the cons. I see you’re stance and you make GREAT points. My thing is your comments(and not just you) can come off very harsh and bold. Which can make other people view it as an attack. Thanks for replying though and a lot of your opinions are valid.
Lmao.. give me a break. Do you expect anyone to listen to your "fact based + negatively worded one sided arguing"…
You’re not exactly wrong but I have a question how do you actually feel about the drama and community? I don’t know who you’re specifically aiming you’re comment towards but I just want to know your opinion more?
This series is so toxic and disgusting, literally why do people like this rape fantasy world. I haven't watched…
Compared to other BL’s this isn’t bad when it comes to stuff like that. There aren’t ANY rape scenes but there are scenes were it seems as if consent isn’t given that clearly. But also in love by chance didn’t Kengkla rape techno since techno was intoxicated and didn’t consent? This series when it comes to rape hasn’t shown any signs of that - you should check out the first few eps and then make your jurisdiction. For me personally I HATE rape scenes and how people watch BL aside from if the shows include it so I know what you mean. But this specific series hasn’t shown any signs of that.
At the same time you can’t excuse their toxic behavior. I think this drama is very realistic because they don’t…
Lmao I can understand where when I said Toxic means deadly lol. I guess I should say unhealthy in that aspect. I don’t think those issues should be normalized when it comes to any relationship however. I feel as if there’s a point however when Type’s actions need to stop getting excused. I COMPLETELY understand where you are coming from with your reply. But those issues still shouldn’t be overlook or excused because it’s the norm. In hindsight they should be addressed.
I don't know why some are saying they should break up.I mean, have you people seen real couples in life?Sure,…
At the same time you can’t excuse their toxic behavior. I think this drama is very realistic because they don’t sugar coat. They show insecurities that people have in relationship and the ups and down. However, with it being realistic we have to acknowledge the negatives. Like how Type is hitting Tharn even after they started dating. Or how Type low key manipulates Tharn by trying to act like the victim and trying to make Tharn jealous. Real couples do have issues but not like this. I think this is very realistic because it shows a toxic relationship. Trying to brush over those issues isn’t okay and this is one of the first dramas I’ve seen that have addressed this.
I’m not saying Tharn and Type should break up - but I think a break would do great for them. I don’t think Type is emotionally/ mentally ready or stable for a relationship. I think he needs to come to terms with his past and with himself. He seems very defensive and unable to express his emotions. Which makes him unintentionally hurt the people around him. I think Tharn is a very thought out guy, who is low key obsessed with Type. He’s so obsessed his thought out and logical mind gets thrown out the window since he wants to please Type. Which in my opinion isn’t healthy. They both need a break to evaluate themselves, each other , and their relationship . So when they come back together they can set up boundaries and have a mature talk about how they feel.
Bruh that preview is freaking me out. I feel like Type needs to stop hitting Tharn like they’re relationship is starting to seem low key toxic/ abusive
