Oh my goodness, my exact thoughts. Like the adaptation is beautiful ,it jas a lot of the core plot and storytelling, but there's a lot of changes .And maybe it's because I've read the novel ( oh so many times) , the changes aren't confusing and I can totally undertake why some characters, places or even arc timeliness kinda overlap or are cut and molded into something new. I'm thinking of FCY's face and hands , Mrs Zhao , Ninger's hair , the little details in the household cause we know carpenter Zhao jas been carving little things for Ninger and there's so many piggy toys atound the yard and house ; I loved how while comfy ,a lot of furniture had softened nicks and dips that mafe thought of my oldf furniture, and oh my goodness I love how during the wedding, their kneeling pillows ,when they take their vows has tears and looks worn down and there's so many more little things ,like the texture amd stitching of different clothes and material, and etc.🥰🥰🥰 I'm so grateful for the cast ,so happy with what the producers, scriptwritter and director had done ,cause we all can feel the attention and care in so many ways . And oh my goodness I'm loving the drama so much , the cinematography of the whole production is so beautiful and gives so much frame to the the story ,that in the novel that had so many arcs and chapters , I cam feel the world through each scene .
I kinda thought (hoped ) she would take that street gang under her wings?..trotters?? 🐖 ( sorry couldn't restrain…
I understand why ,but still I kinda anated her take those man in her little shop as worker and later thought, what if those guys were also drafted in the army and she could would her own people but then this drama happened and I wander of they're gonna come up again 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 I was thinking exactly that in the last episode when they were sitting out in the night talking and they kept chewing on the candy ,those two cutie pies 🤣🤣🫣🫣

I love the novel , while the adaptation has for has been amazing, there's so much detail and nuisance in the novel that I don't think they could get it all together better. As for the general motives : While the time spent im the village is essentially the foundation of their trust and time for him to heal and for her to get her footing, the political background is about to explode; So far ml has at least 3 different enemy groups - in his own party , the main opponent of his uncle and the enemy at their borders ,in between these factions there's lack of grain and resources in the army , the maim two factions keep baiting the commoners into their plots and ml has to decide whether his revenge ,his army ,or the common people get to be priority while the court tears at each other . And then there's the whole storyline with fl and her own story,because for various reasons they don't just magically end up together and it's all done with such clearn reasons that the angst is well earned and so is their love .
After watching Episode 9: first of all, a couple of days back I didn’t even know Zhang Linghe had a release…
While ep 9 had me obsessed witht that 🍊🍬💋 scene ( 🫣🫣) ,I watched the entire ep 11 three tomesand had replayed some of the scenes at least a dozen time ( be warned: blushing and giggling are guaranteed 😁)
So basically she was brought to Qi Min as a concubine cause he was sick since childhood and his people wanted to get an heir out of him before he died and went more crazy ; Qi Min wanted to die, Qianqian saved him from drowning himself, he felt interested in life for the first time , they made a baby ( unwillingly) ,she ran away , he's been looking for her for the past 6-7 years ,but the thing is he doesn't want a child before he secures his position, she doesn't want him at all -first because she just wants to live a peaceful life with her son and also in the novel ,she is a transmigator ,the only one the story amd doesn't really reveal that ever .
