IMHO, I felt like the mains should have been a besties that separated and lost contact to finding their bestie again because the universe has weird coincidences and they take their besties to business partners way of navigating. The romance felt forced like the writer was like eh, there's this femininity in the guy and there's masculinity in the girl and let's yin yang them together to make this into a couple.
