If we could get the ML back. I would say that a new mafia organization came to Korea as they usually do. When one is taken out a new one pops up if it wasn't already a competitor in the market. It's getting too much and annoying some major higher ups and oligarchs and hurting the corporations money, it becomes national security. So they make a deal with ML that he can hunt down the org and as long as he gets rid of XYZ persons, they will clear his record and can be free sorta La Femme Nikita/The Villainess. Our adult Somi is either working in police/National Intelligence Service and is undercover running the pawn shop/maybe undercover in the organization (The Villainess style). They are reunited and partner up to take down the baddies.

Funny enough, John Wick is a semi-remake and influenced by this movie. The creator of the franchise admitted to it.

She's apparently getting a real world experience by choice. She decided to stop taking scripts for the past 3 years. I support her in whatever makes her happy although she's a talent and is missed. I hope we get Queen of Mystery 3 and Good Casting S2 but who knows. More power to her though.

One girl with her husband couple didn't bring anything to the story. Felt like she was window dressing for YingYing to vent or whatever. XingXing felt a bit much and annoying at times. Like her feelings for XingXing didn't feel genuine since it felt like oh my friend has a guy lover and I should have one too. Like studying and business isn't enough for me since she basically riding on XingXing and Yang Guang coattails project. She needed them more than they needed her and her bestie + her bestie lover. Like had granny been in a nursing home this whole time or healthy, then she wouldn't see Xing Xing since he would be in Singapore. So things didn't make sense for her character.

I honestly did not see the point of Xing Xing and Ying Ying being a couple. Prior to Ep 8, there was no actual eye contact or hints that XingXing had any feelings for Ying Ying. They also never mention why they like each other other than being around each other and hanging together since HS? I didn't see the point of them. Like is XingXing feeling indebted to Ying Ying for helping out with granny? Like is Ying Ying jealous of her bestie having a "husband" lovelife and wants to have one too? Like girl aren't you busy with studies and business? Specially since she's allegedly not so smart at studies that she would copy from XingXing?
I saw more chemistry between XingXing and Yang Guang. They were together since childhood even have "joint ownership" properties ie toys and each had one of the lions in different colors. They were always together and were separated and took time to reconcile. If that's not a childhood friends to lovers story in a BL. There was not much given from XingXing and Ying Ying other than her being around alot in scenes, no flashbacks to HS deskmates etc. I get XingXing hasn't been in a relationship and why now, Ying Ying? Why now do you want to be with him, why didn't she ask him in HS?

True. This story took a turn. I'm curious what JDJ has on Wang and family because she tends to always run her mouth except to her deceased dad when he was alive or YH where she suffers from Keep It Secret Syndrome. Maybe she grew smart in those 2 years of missing time LOL

It's cute and gives slow burn but also has OTT anime reactions sometimes but they make sense in context of the scene. So it's like a romantic comedy between and introvert and extrovert.

FL in this series looked fine to me except for that tanning makeup that looked weird like self-tanner that was not sticking right
