Yeah nothing to do with era, that's what he was supposed to be like, we were laughing at how stalkerish he was back then too. The whole point is that he's acting like he's not interested yet he's practically stalking her every chance he gets, that's the comedy part.

tbf that's kind of the whole point, it's a comedy and he's supposed to be that kind of annoying character. You are pointing out something as if it was a flaw when it's the whole point. Dramas can make characters that act bad you know.

I think it's still worth trying. The political stuff doesn't feel that deep to me, it's more about the characters more than anything.
