When you say barren do you mean in barren in the lack of murder mysteries/thrillers/horror and action? Because I feel the same way. Most of the K-Dramas nowadays are just romance and melodrama which is quite disappointing to someone who doesn't like those genres.

I have seen his Stranger spinoff and Vigilante. I tried Designated Survivor but it was too political for my taste. City Hunter is on my radar though. I have made it a point to try any show he's in after watching 365.

I became interested in him after watching 365 Repeat the Year in 2020. He was fantastic in it! He really impressed me as the main lead. I hoped he would receive more roles after that, but unfortunately, it didn't happen until now. Better late than never! The first K-drama I saw him in was Stranger, and after that, Are You Human Too? I liked him in those roles, but when I watched 365 Repeat the Year, he had my full attention! 😄 So I completely understand how you feel.

It’s clear the show hasn’t been meeting your expectations, yet you continue to make the same comment each week. That’s why it feels a bit off to me. I understood your critical points in the earlier episodes, but now it’s starting to feel repetitive. Please don’t take this the wrong way; I just wanted to clarify that I’m not against critiquing shows—I just wanted to share my perspective.

If you aren't satisfied by the fifth episode, perhaps the show isn't for you. Continuing to criticize it here every week won't change that. It might be best to move on rather than trying to make it fit your expectations.

But they show that he does care for his daughter quite a lot, and had scenes with her this episode, so I don't know why you're complaining about it this episode as well.

You're really overthinking this in every episode. It's not a big deal. This show isn't just about him staying with his daughter. He spent a whole year with her, and now he’s back to work and sometimes has to stay late for his boss. No offense, but I've noticed that you keep repeating the same point every episode as if it's the only aspect of the show that matters to you.

I'm glad he's getting more lead roles! He deserves it! He killed it in 365 repeat the year and Stranger!

You do realize that Afghanistan is not in the Middle East nor is part of it, right? This movie doesn't seem to get this notion either which is super dumb.

I'm definitely not a fan of 1 episode a week format for a kdrama. Especially since the episode was so short...

Yeah, the writing is pretty awful. There's a lot of plot holes and issues with this issue from the very start. It's ending is also very rushed as well.

It's just bad writing. The only reason the sex scene happened and they had their romance at the last minute is to justify her rage after he gets killed 10 minutes later in the episode. It's poor writing, but then again the other plotholes in the show speak for themselves at how bad the writing is for this show. The only good thing this show has going for it is some good action and choreography. Everything else is mediocre or worse. It really had a good start but they threw it all away as the show progressed towards the end.

Pretty much. They should have kept their relationship platonic because they barely have any chemistry together, and barely had any character development together as well. Instead they went the worst route with them.

This show started strong, but it ended really weak for me. I'm giving it a 5/10. Also, the final episode was the weakest episode of all. Especially that unnecessary sex scene and shoehorning their romance at the last minute only to kill him in the same episode, I saw it a mile away. It was very predictable. I'm not going even to mention the plot holes this show had when it comes to the story. The writing for this show was really weak.

Well, I love those themes. If you don't like such genres/themes then why do you even bother watching or trying them?
