Some of those things are just weternisation and modernisation in korean culture itself and have been happening since the korean war or before like fried chicken, plastic surgery, christianity, bread sweets and they have a long history of drugs during the japanese occupation and american soldiers and globalisation just made that worse. Also psychotherapy and antidepressants? what does advancement in medicine have to do with westernisation? Kdramas have always followed hollywood but they added their own twist on it which made it special to the viewers and have tried quirky stories and concepts. I think many of us can agree that we like the character development and pacing in kdramas compared to western ones where they do everything in one episode. They have already started copying netlfix's short episodes and multiple seasons when we used to get 16-20 episodes where they conclude everything in that one season. With SBS plans to broadcast on American TV now the quality may decline further just like some of these netflix shows and SBS releases a lot of kdramas in the year.

They're promoting this show really well with all the comotion i thought it already started airing. can't wait to see PSH again

if it means we can access kdramas easier then great but they better not americanise shows to suit the western market or they will lose their audience.

I prefered the second half, it felt stupid in the beginning but the movie lacked depth

i misread your comment i thought you said you were looking for dramas like that lol but i agree. I only liked it in come and hug me that's the only drama where it was done right. I hate how they make it seem like such a turning point to their lives when they only had a brief encounter. There's quite a few dramas without this plot device but it's especially in the rich boy poor girl dramas

this is just ridiculous. A second season after 4 years? of a drama that doesn't even need a second season

It's a light fluffy rom com series you can watch after watching something heavy. I really enjoyed the first few episodes and if it was 16 i might've dropped it. i would give the first half a high rating, but if you want something head empty that's just cute then i recommend this

almost all kdramas have this plot device where they briefly met in their childhood but do you want it to be a small part of the plot or the main like this

that's the only unrealistic part about this drama gongyoo being the perfect husband

I haven't read the manga in full but it's more like a loose adaptation. The overall concept of the parasite and how it works and whats happening to humanity is the same but the storyline is different and it's a a bit darker in terms of her backstory compared to Shinichi. I enjoyed watching it personally
