Wei rao is not a super hero. Whatever she has achieved is through scheming and manipulation. So its not totally unbelievable. Shes just smart, cunning and intelligent as she has seen the outside world thoroughly and has good survival instincts. She is never portrayed as god. I dont understand the unnecessary criticism on yan an. He is doing a decent job . First of all the drama is female centric so even if he is the main lead his main role is supporting the fl. U cant complaint about him not having his own induviduality.
He is serving looks, decent acting , good aura most of all 10/10 chemistry with tian xi wei which is what that matters for a ml in a female centric drama .
Tian xi wei is a veteran in this industry and yanan being a new bie in being ml is doing a great job opposite her complementing her and developing fantabulous chemistry with her.
The way he looks at her melts us and brings butterflies in our tummy.
For me nobody could have protrayed lu zhuo other than yanan.
Its not just about playing a character in a fl centric drama its about how u complement the heroine which yanan is doing brilliantly well.

Poor lady bitao she was trapped to do the evil . Im dissapointed . But then she needs to look out for her family as well. Bitao was literally breaking down for betraying wei rao

He never had anything for xie hualou. Its already told that wei rao is the first ever woman he has interacted with closely and he met xie hualoou for the first time in 1st episode. Morever when xie hualou confronted lu zhuo about what evil jundai did to her he said whatever she did xie hualou would have instigated her and told xie hualou to stay out of weiraos and his business and literally called her an outsider. He even humiliated her indirectly by supporting weirao when his cousins were talking for xie hualou against wei rao.
He knew wei rao pushed xie hualou but never did anything to protect her or clear the false allegations against cie hualou
In short he never had any interest in xie hualou whatsoever.
He didnt deny because his mind was never there his mind was clouded about his wife taking a liking for his best friend. He didn't even bother about xie hualou then also not even once all he was focused on was how could his wife have eyes on qi zhongkai
