I realised sth. Watcha should’ve definitely made this. We got from them “Semantic Error” which is a college/university romance and “Secret Relationships” which is a workplace romance. And “Heesu in Class 2”would have been the perfect third one with high school romance!!! It would have been a perfect trio of BL series!!!
But no good god…just why this happened?! WHY?!! We were f*cking robbed! 🤦♂️
This show should've followed the saying "Why fix it if it's not broken?". Seriously tho, like the original manwha from which the series is adapted has already a great story. Why the hell would you want to change and straightwashed it? I simply don't understand. This is a prime example of a show with maybe good intentions at the beginning but is ultimately poorly executed.
This show should've been in the hands of people who care about the BL community and their fans.
Saying this again: this show should've been made by Watcha or at least a BL friendly network who are not afraid to do real BL scenes. At least it would’ve been phenomenal like Semantic Error or Secret Relationships (+ other amazing BL shows like Love in the Big City, The Eight Sense, etc.), which in fact all the main cast are getting praised. Heck, Semantic Error is like the most popular KBL with one of the best chemistry on-screen of Park Jae Chan and Park Seo Ham. And of course the main cast of "Secret Relationships" are doing fan meetings all over Asia as we speak. All this series trended in A GOOD WAY!!! Both shows are so beloved by the BL community to this day and will be for a long time. SO LEARN FROM THIS!!!
In my opinion it can be both done as a prequel and as a sequel. Prequel in the sense that Da On could tell more…
They do highlight the epilogues at the end of each episode, which makes me wonder why they just don't do full episodes about it. I feel the show would make much more sense if they aired more episodes and gives us more backstory about their motivations, thoughts, etc. of each main character. So yeah, a prequel-sequel would actually makes sense tbh at this point.
I feel so bad for how this BL series turned out and for the fans too.... Watcha should have made this tbh and it would've been a banger BL series. Just look how much hype and love "Semantic Error" and "Secret Relationships" has gotten since they were released! Now those series are BL made with love for the fans!
It has now the same rating as Semantic Error, which comes from the same network. Watcha definitely deliver banger BL series. I can't wait what they have next in store.
I hope we get a sequel or prequel. It's almost been a month and I still haven't gotten over this😭😭
In my opinion it can be both done as a prequel and as a sequel. Prequel in the sense that Da On could tell more stories through flashbacks to Seong Hyeon about Jae Min and Su Hyeon and their time together while still dealing with this trauma that happened. That's a potential storyline. Sequel in the sense that it's happening now and we get to explore more the relationship of Da On and Seong Hyeon.
For me, that's the perfect way to still include all actors. Basically, I see a potential for a season 2. But that's up for the network, the actors, the writers, the director, and fans, etc. to decide if they even want more....haha
Even if that's not possible (please god please 🙏) given how they get along so well, the show was well received…
A prequel/sequel will only happen if everyone's on board: the actors, the writers, the director, the network, the fans, etc. Honestly, the main problem for me about the main series is that we needed more context/backstory as it kinda feel a bit rushed towards the end. I want to know why Jae Min and Su Hyeon behaved the way they are towards Da On, how the relationship between Da On, Su Hyeon & Jae min were before and ofc what's the relationship status of Da On and Seong Hyeon now, etc.
Tbh If I were Da On, I wouldn't quickly forget about what happened....as I would still have some lingering trauma from that shitty experience and all what's happened. If the writers are clever, they could incorporate more storyline (im just sayin...)
Even if that's not possible (please god please 🙏) given how they get along so well, the show was well received…
To be fair, just make a second season at this point as the series is very popular and the actors do have great chemistry together...
This would be my pitch:
I would definitely include Seong Hyeon, especially because he's an important character and he's endgame with Da On. In the webtoon Da On still has this kind of lingering trauma that he's dealing with after the events of the main series. They could make episodes where we could see Da On dealing with this trauma and Seong Hyeon comforting him. In that way we could see more lovey-dovey scenes of them. Da On could tell then through flashbacks to Seong Hyeon about Jae Min and Su Hyeon and their time together, like the epilogue scenes. In that way all four actors would technically still have a major part in the series. It's a win-win situation tbh and it's the only way I think they could incorporate more stories from the webtoon. They should also adapt the lovey-dovey scenes from the special episodes of the webtoon.
Even if that's not possible (please god please 🙏) given how they get along so well, the show was well received…
Tbh if it would happen, we would understand more of the backstory and dynamic of the characters, especially the actions of Su Hyeon and Jae Min to Da On. So yeah, a prequel/spin-off would be great!
In a recent fan sign event, actor Cha Jung Woo, who played Su Hyeon, wants a spin-off/prequel with Jun Seo and Ho Young about Da On, Su Hyeon & Jae Min and their time together before the events of the main series!
What's so funny is that the first three episodes are so good and very high rated (8,5-8,9) by many people. But because 2 episodes every week are shown and the latest episode was so bad for the majority of viewers that it dragged the show down. And then everyone suddenly turned their back against this show and just started hating on it.... Technically overall if you look at it, it's still a good show. So people, please keep an open mind. It can still be a great show. A lot of amazing shows have like one-two episodes or more that are less good than the others but overall it can still be phenomenal.
So yeah, I would say try to watch the whole experience first and then judge. I still have hope for this series🤞
After hearing all the drama around this show, I'm gonna say it right now, if this show was made by a popular LGBTQ+ friendly network like Watcha, GagaOOLala or iQiyi, etc., they would've made this truly a BL show where Hui Su and Seung Won would have been the only main leads. Look for example at Semantic Error, Secret Relationships, Love in the Big City, etc. They are a success and popular because they only focus on the main male leads as it should be and they're faithful to the original source material!
I feel bad for the people who love the popular manwha adapted from this show and it's really a shame and disappointment that it's not what everyone hoped for...
Still fingers crossed that it at least gets better with ep 5-10.....
PS: Marketing for this show was really bad....I haven't heard from this show until everyone online was talking about how bad it was
2 times already for me,the fan meets & behind the scenes are so funny
Su Hyeon fans are like bullying Cha Sun Hyung I think and complaining why Jun Seo is not paired with Jung Woo, who plays Su Hyeon , on their next fan meeting... Someone above the comments explained kinda what's going on....I saw the drama also unfolding on X
So apparently some people are throwing hate at cha sun hyung because he kept promoting his ship(as he should),he…
Hmmm really? So there is drama going on bts... That's actually f*ked up behavior from the fans then... I hope this doesn't affect the relationship between the actors tho 😰
After finally watching this, I can say this is truly one of the best BL's that I've seen. It's the most vibrant BL I've watched so far with such aesthetic. The actors have great chemistry and the OST and production are top notch. This is like the Heartstopper of the BL's. It's a masterpiece.
Can someone explain to me the epilogue? Because after watching the final episode and the whole show overall, this feels like a part 1 to a part 2. It needs more explanation, runtime and longer episodes. In the end we just got only a glimpse of their dating life.
I soooo badly need a S2 or another bl drama from these actors!!!! I can't believe Jun Seo had such good chemistry…
Even tho not impossible, it's highly unlikely. The series did end in a really high, good note which felt like a closure with Da On and Seong Hyeon saying Saranghae (I love you) to each other. Semantic Error, which comes from the same network, never got a season 2 although people want more since it came out in 2022....so yeah not likely ever to happen. I'm just glad this series exist tbh :)
It would have been a perfect trio of BL series!!!

Could we see a potential spin-off/prequel? 👀😮
