Personally, I think Liu Yu Ning is crazy, insanely handsome and these few comments I see about his appearance are completely confusing to me. This is the first drama I've watched of his and now I'm planning to binge his back catalogue while waiting for all episodes to release.
I'm thinking these odd comments about his face are maybe because he looks extremely masculine (like, he could never pass for a woman) and so many Chinese actors look very feminine/pretty and with a wig and some makeup could 100% pass for a girl...? (Not that there's anything wrong with that, just not my preference).
NO SHADE, y'all do you, but I guess I prefer men to look manly. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I just finished episode 8 and I'm so irritated. Nothing makes sense. I like these actors a lot, everyone is doing a great job (which is why I think I've lasted so long), but this script is terrible.
At this point, I'm team Cha Ji Won with literally anyone in the world other than Bunny. I don't have second lead syndrome, I have Cha-Ji-Won-is-a-king-surrounded-by-morons syndrome.
I do hope JY and Bunny end up together because I wouldn't wish either of them on anyone else.
Does anyone have a suggestion for another super fluffy drama? I need a break from the heavy dramas, and five days…
Do you watch CDramas? If so: 1) Romance Between Tiger and Rose - Fantasy 2) Love is Sweet- Contemporary adult 3) Hidden Love or When I fly Toward You-- Contemporary younger adult
For K Dramas: 1) Serendipity's Embrace was light and fluffy and romantic- Contemporary 2) Love Scout-- not as fluffy since it has a villain, but still romantic, older protagonists 3) True Beauty-- has some *slightly* heavier themes asking what beauty is, but still light and fluffy, younger protagonists.
I was curious why all the bad reviews so I watched it.
I now understand why some people don't like it. Her friends are super shallow and it is reinforcing odd stereotypes about good = pretty; dumb and bad = plain / ugly.
But it's an absurd youth romcom, so it's going to lean into those stereotypes. You have to watch it for what it is and not expect more from it. It's fluffy and silly, don't expect more than that.

The only difference is, I never went to HL's page and said this...
