This is probably the best plot so far this year for a Cdrama. The leads’ chemistry and the plot are the two best things about this drama. Both leads are very smart, but in different ways; he is street smart and definitely makes some questionable choices (rarely). She is book smart/strategic, but then also makes some (rare) questionable choices. But their flaws make them feel more real and human.

It's probably my second favorite of the year so far! I love these two (characters and actors) together. Usually, I get the ick from such a big age difference between actors, but these two are able to pull it off for some reason. Maybe it's the dynamic of his characters being street smart and military focused and her characters being brainy and clever. Whatever it is, I forget about the age difference completely and they feel equal.
Okay, so this one is actually really good. I wanted to reserve judgement until I watched it for myself, because lately the dramas with above 8.0 have not actually been good. Or rather, parts of them have been good but I've had to fast forward a ton of filler OR the plot goes in circles and I lose interest by episode 15. But this one is quite good. Slow burn but with fantastic chemistry, and the plot is excellent. I have no idea what's going to happen next.

^^ What junah said; lower (or modify) your expectations; it's a coming of age / slice of life drama that takes its time to tell the story. Thus far, it isn't a romance at all, and therefore the drama is realistic (and therefore a little slow).
It's not bad! But it is slow and the ML is a bit stiff (so far). This is a sweet slice of life drama, and so I think expectations of it being more of a romance (rather than a slower paced slice of life story) hurt the rating.
In terms of a slice of life / coming of age drama, I'd give it an 8.5; if I were to rate it as a romance / romantic drama, so far I'd give it a 7.0.

He Yu is also attractive for sure, but I find Ding Yu Xi to be much better looking. To each their own!
