even if you see the healing as mutual why do you think the men are a decade plus older and further on in their lives. In My Mister I couldnt comprehend how the writer could even imply thst having s relation ship with a man 25yrs older (albeit a kind decent man) would be a good outcome for a 20 yr old girl who was just beginning to experience life. The FL in Another Ms Oh portrayed as unforgiving to her fiance but willing to accept a man who ruined lives cruelly hurt and lied to others and demraned her often. The FL in MLN firstly approaching an alcoholic strange man is itself odd but then would that "Liberation" be worth it given what we find out about his history and character. The solution to her issues came through a random flawed guy, nice but why makr him older and dodgy. WAATH this is the most blatant, there is a huge beauty gap as well. Also Mothering FL absorbing a narcissistic manchold self obsession because she cant do better? Her healing is to heal him?
I cant help but always feel put off by something whether it be the age gap or life experience gap or the emotional cost. What it takes the woman to give up in terms of opportunities in the future is greater. The stories are designed for you to want the guy to get the girl but is that really as good for the girl as the guy. Its slightly different in each but very similar also. Aside from that I find the dialogues really over egging it wity the "deep" psychological stuff at times.

I think in all four of her dramas especially My Mister the MLs she puts along side their FLs are not only damaged but also have issues that dont make them necessarily worthy or the type of person a truly healed person would want or need. The deliberate romance coding of My Mister ruined the drama. I wonder about the people hoping they'd get together do they nit think she could hope for more out of life. Similarly Anither Ms Oh I mean the guy is just awful. MLN hes a low life gangster we see a depressed young woman throwing herself at a dubious older alcoholic stranger as romantic?? WAATH a beautiful young woman tied to a mentally unstable narcissist who is not a nice guy or attractive but what she wants to be his mom?
Im not denying the goodness in the characters but for almost the women the solution is to heal a broken man and look after him and in turn be looked after by a guy who if these women could actually grow heal and be their best selves would only hold them back. Even if its two broken souls why us the woman always younger prettier and willing to sell themselves short. Its not an exact science and you could argue against some of it but are these outcomes really as goid for the women as the men. Note My Mister the outcome us nit explicit but implying it is really not wanting enough for that 21 yr old woman.

Mr Sunshine waz the worst most pathetic age gap i ever saw. it was unwatchable but the FL was at least a freedom fighter above all else. Her purpose in life wasn't reduced to saving or dependent on a man. At least rom coms are openly full of it.
