this us not entirely female centric but there are "flawed" female leads and characters who are not perfect but competent and have integrity. There is also a plot revolving around exploitation of young women by powerful men.

Both the weak ass writing that inserts these extreme actions from the FLs especially the cheating, and then treats it as an aside, the resolution being everyone eventually ignores it.
But also and moreover to the audience here who do indeed accept that weak truly unrealistic story line but also treat it as unimportant as its not as bsd as rape. Its as if it has no direct impact on the ability of viewers to take the drama seriously. The notion that a strong reaction to, both behaviour like that in a story and the messaging inherent in how they resolve it, is somehow invalidated because there are bad guys who you should hate more is just dismal.
