Loved the show. Yes I think the ending was rushed and I am still bitter about the fact that they killed lu ji and wen ji. I honestly halfway through the show thought that they would be such great uncles to their kid. As for the revenge I think almost all of them were satisfying. •Wanning getting betrayed by her father, then she turns bitter, finds love, does fucked up shit and in the end dies because of that love. • Shen yurong kills his wife, gets haunts by it, turns more evil, and in the end commits suicide while playing the flute that he played when he actually was not a corrupt human. • Step mom- should have deserved a more cruel end. Not satisfying. Overall a 9.5 for me. Not because this is almost perfect but because I loved this. I loved the chemistry. I have not seen a single cdrama after 2019. The ones I watched before weren't good at all. I stopped watching cdramas. I had a prejudice that they are just not good. Then someone recommended me the double. I saw a reel too. Decided to give it a try. I also don't watch any historical dramas but I watched thid and loved it. I have hopes from cdramas now. Please recommend me some good ones.
I am currently on ep 22 and this show is just so good. I just love that the fl is so intelligent plus the chemistry between xue li and duke su is just so hot. I still have one confusion though as this is literally my first ever historical cdrama and the second historical drama. How is princess wanning related to the emperor? If they do explain it somewhere please keep it spoiler free. Also it will be nice if someone can actually give recommendations for other historical cdramas with romance. Please recommend something like the double as I still don't really understand the concept of wuxia and xanxia.

Maybe it's that. Maybe it's because they jumped from one volume to another. But I still think she isn't going full breakup mode atleast not in this ep. So the hate right now is very unnecessary.

Yup but you still shouldn't hate on someone who literally said something mean in the last 5 mins of an ep. People aren't giving her a chance. Also maya as a character didn't do anything that bad that she deserves people wishing death on her character. I have said this before and I will say it now. She genuinely believes taichi is taking advantage of kohei. Kohei keeps telling her that taichi is such a great human being. But we also need to remember that before this ep for 6 months she just heard good things about taichi and probably his friends. She definitely must have thought he is a great friend and a notetaker. Cut to last scene we see her giving taichi's notes back. Now kohei was present while taking those notes. She wasn't. He knows the context behind those drawings. She doesn't. To any outsider those notes will look poorly done. Also regarding taichi's friends. Now imagine you are walking. This guy that you don't know comes running upto you and calls you cute. Won't you find that weird. Then he goes on talking to everyone else the same way. She did mention she can't hear well but continues to talk in your presence without stopping. She must have felt so weird when she couldn't hear anything about why people were laughing there. That's what she has felt all her life. but most of the people won't say anything. The only difference is she did. And now the whole internet hates her.

Exactly. The hate is just too much. I literally read comments where people are wishing death on her character. Like for what. For being a human being? Also half of the comments going that she is those typical female villains that only enter a bl to break apart the maine couple. These people have literally forgotten that this is not just a bl but a story about disability.
