I'll post my reply to my friend Turkish Rose when she asked me what I thought of DOTS: DOTS was just a screaming,…
Yong Pal was good but the over hyped part was the actress Kim Tae Hee who was comatose most of the drama and even more so after she gained consciousness - yet received awards for her performance.

Enjoyed and it is one of the best K dramas if you don't analyze the substance and reality of the drama. It was fun and I laughed a lot and loved the chemistry of the second couple more. Actor SJK is award winning in every thing I've seen him in and this is no exception. Just wished the writer would not have torn me up emotionally then try to repair me. I am still laughing when I think of the ending. Read some analytical reviews as opposed to entertainment value only. This would only get a People's choice award not an Academy Award :)

I am glad you took the time to truly analyze this drama. I agree with you except the rewatch value. It was great not to see the usual K drama themes-- car accident, memory loss, falling off curb and grabbing, drunk piggy backing to get the girl. Location of filming was the high points of this drama (I guess I was sick of the Han River scenes from other dramas). It was overrated and the end just was a roller coaster emotional ride. I was thankful that it was a more comedy at the end. I just laughed and said writer's mistake was caving into public sentiment not reality. I was satisfied when I cried --- No spoilers I will add. Satisfied to laugh

Superior acting, especially by younger actor, and store about the depth of love and friendship that is beautifully analyzed as each episode is unveiled. I enjoyed it more than most dramas because the definition of family, friends and loyalty were meshed into themes of consequences of deceit and forgiveness. Definitely a top drama and deserving of high ratings.

I am a k drama addict and watching Chinese or Taiwanese dramas is relatively rare for me. However, I was drawn to this story because it promised a similar story line as Fated to Love which I enjoyed - both versions. It has very familiar themes with no deviation - 2nd lead syndrome, deceptions, blabbermouths. What is unique is studying and analyzing the main lead as an abandoned child and her mindset and decision making. That is what made this a truly worthwhile 25 episodes. If time permits the acting is good so the drama is worth it.

I am on episode 34. Started out as an addiction and interesting story line but I am losing interest fast. Only 37 episodes so I will stick to the end. Started out a 9 and has fallen to 7 in my opinion. Hope there isn't a bad ending to go with the slow destruction of human reason that has gripped the writers of this story.

Ideas one, three and five have worked for me but the addiction is still incurable. Since I am retired I have become a recluse watching daily, weekly and older dramas to catch up. can't remember the last time I read a book....and I read daily. Changing to a different country is my new strategy but the addiction needs a solution. My next door neighbor of 10 years thought I had moved

A very mature and moving drama from the sole of your feet to the top of your head emotional whirlwind. Beautiful in all aspects - actors, story line, cinematography. THe depth of the emotion called love is defined and vicariously shared through music and it was so amazing I couldn't stop watching. A great show to marathon. Once of the best K Dramas ever!!! Unbelievable work of art - worthy of many awards.
