This show should be called Thirsttrap Chonlatee because the man is near naked in every episode! I'm not complaining but it was so obvious fanservice lol. Also Ton just sucks as a character. And why is it that all of the scenes that were supposed to be cutesy and lovey dovey and give you that warm feeling inside just feel....cringe? The development of the main couple was just so clunky and bad. You don't root for them at all because of the messy tactics that pretty much everyone involved (except Na) used to get them together.
I liked this show as a light cute thing to watch every Friday. I remember seeing some tweet about it and then I just watched the episodes that were out, then I started to watch every week. I think it has many flaws such as glaring plot holes that were not covered up. Also the acting was a bit lacking at times. However I wouldn't call it bad, just not AMAZING. I think people hyped it up because they ship the actual actors, and the actors are very attractive pretty boys. One of the best things was the soundtrack and the song choices. I never listened to Thai music before but now I keep listening to all the songs featured in the show by the band Scrubb. Too bad I can't read the titles lol I just use a spotify playlist.
I read the manga (in Japanese) and it is completely different than the drama. In this drama the characters are…
Some of the events are the same like Hijiri picking up Akira when he was riding his bike, and him getting hurt and going with her to her apartment but her fiance was there. Also Akira confessing was the same too. The kiss on the beach was also the same as in the manga, and in the manga they do go together to her apartment, but her fiance and his mother is there. After they are seen by his mother and her fiance at her apartment, Hijiri quits her teaching job at the school and Akira moves away. Then there is a time skip to when Akira is in high school.
In the manga, the mother is completely different. She is in her 30's and her appearance is completely different. Her personality is different too. In the manga Shotaro isn't in Osaka but he's actually overseas because he jobs requires him to go overseas often. He and Hijiri actually share the apartment but he is constantly gone on business trips. Akira's character is basically the same and the things he says and does are also basically the same. However, the part in the drama with kids going to study camp was not in the manga. Also, the part with Akira fighting the kid over posting on the message board online was also not in the manga. But his character is the same until the time skip.
In the manga, the fireworks festival also happened a bit different. Shotaro did not go the festival with Haraguchi. In fact Haraguchi is not really shown that much for the first 2 volumes of the manga. She basically had a couple of lines and was not a major character. Shotaro also was not a major character in the first two volumes of the manga either. Before the time skip in the manga, Shotaro is barely shown at all. Hijiri and Shotaro's relationship is also not featured much in the manga.
After Shotaro and Hijiri break up and after the time skip is when Haraguchi and Shotaro's interactions are shown more. Some of the scenes like them drinking together are the same as in the manga.
One scene that was almost exact same as the manga was the scene in ep 4 when they are together on the beach. The lines are the same as in the manga too. Hijiri losing her shoe, Akira offering her his shoe, etc. I assume ep 5 will deviate from the manga because directly after that getting caught the time skip happens and based on the previews of the drama they will be going in a different direction with that.
In the manga the first two volumes covers the middle school arc. After Akira and Hijiri are caught together, she quits and he moves. The second volume is completely about Akira being in high school. He basically disappeared in middle school and no one heard from him after that. Then, Runa arranges a class reunion with some their classmates from middle school. Akira shows up and reunites with his middle school classmates. Then Runa confesses to him again and they start dating. Hijiri started working at another school after she broke up with her fiance. She and Akira don't see each other for two years. Then Akira finds out where she is and he goes to meet. That's all I've read up to so far since there's only 4 volumes out.

I've read the manga and it is much different from the drama. For one, Haruto's father isn't present at all (at least so far in 6 volumes) so the storyline about not being good enough for his father was not there. Also Tenma's stepmother wasn't really a character either. I kind of wish the drama had stayed true to this because the parents meddling wasn't necessary and I think they were trying too hard to stay to the first drama. In the manga Tenma is not really all that nice...he's kind of an asshole. In the manga and drama as well it's easier to side with Haruto. Also Megurin disappeared much earlier in the manga (thank goodness!) BUT she was way worse in the manga. With that in mind I think the drama would have been better if it followed the manga more closely. The ending would have been different to. With the ending of the drama I'm not sure if there will be a season 2.
