Also, I believed the grandfather would have been charged with murder...he's the obvious prime suspect. They found his wife's body and he basically has no alibi. I would like to think that after the events of the episode he would be charged.

If they were going to do a live action movie I would have rather seen an all new original plot than covering the first few volumes of the manga. It's impossible not to compare if you've seen the anime and/or read the manga. As someone who has done both, this was severely disappointing. The characterization was extremely off and bad at times, and there were quite a few plot holes. Also the casting was not that great. It seems like they only cast big names and flavor of the month actors instead of people fit for the roles. I think Rukia was cast completely wrong and her character was represented poorly. I could write an entire essay on this but this was not a good movie. It would probably be more enjoyable to anyone who has not seen or read the source material.

The main guy is really horrible. You really can't root for him

Why is his mother searching for her son in the street when the son disappeared at sea? Also if she's using a picture of when he was a child I doubt those people would known since so many years passed and he wouldn't look the same. Idk that part bothered me because it made no sense.

If you continue watching you will see how it's not really trying to be one or the other. It has comedy and serious elements balanced into one. The overarching storyline is serious, but there are comedic elements thrown in that make it entertaining. I think that's mainly because the main characters are a bunch of high school students that find themselves in an interesting predicament. It's not entirely realistic but how many dramas are?

I just realized that this drama is similar to the drama Sang Doo Let's Go to School starring Rain. Both female leads are teachers, both are engaged to respectable guys because of their parents, and both get involved with the "bad boy." And both of the dramas have ridiculous endings LOL.

Lol I feel the same way. She is just too ridiculous. She's basically a 15 year old in a 30 year old's body. If you want to see Dean in another romantic comedy then I recommend the Taiwanese drama Just You. Though that heroine can be a tad bit annoying she at least has some common sense.

Judging from this first episode alone, this is a typical cheesy romance melodrama.

I understand that this is a Line drama but the Line product placement was sooo obvious...like the plushes and t-shirts and how the whole drama revolved around the app. In a way it was like a long, fancy commercial.

I actual found his English easy to understand and he had the most natural sounding English out of everyone...

Oh please. They're trying to make Yamapi out to be the typical "Nice Guy." Let's see, he basically stalks her, attempts to manipulate her and groom her by buying her expensive gifts, and tries to sucker her into being with him with the typical "I can only be with you" BS. And he isn't "that" horrible? I beg to differ.

This was better than I thought! Let's hope it doesn't go down the toilet...
