EXACTLY! That's a huge turn off. They could have said the other drama has join MLC in bringing justice to the world so let join them together, and that would have been awesome. But to say something like that, that's just a huge disrespect to MLC.

Oh i know. I don't care if they milk it cause i will gladly support it cause it was just that good. I just couldn't help but sigh at the initial treatment of the drama compared to others and how now they're using mlc as a stepping stone. Don't get me wrong I'm loving the attention mlc is receiving, just needed to get some fustration out of my system.

Wow iqiyi really wants to use Lotus casebook as a doormat don't they? They had no promo for this drama, not even a trailer until 2 days before their sudden airing date, then the sudden dump of episodes to finish out its run in favor of love you 7 times. Then MLC got popular so now they using MLC'S official poster for my journey to you and now using MLC's weibo to promo tiger and crane. And I mean no hate to the other dramas at all. Each drama has their own pros and cons. Just feel like they did MLC dirty.

I think you misunderstood me. Im not saying his accident wasnt impactful for his character. It definitely was a life turning event for his character. I'm saying the accident scene they set up was mediocore.

I didnt say it was bad. I just said the flaws are very very noticeable. I still love all the love scenes and of course cheng yi acting doesnt disappoint. Also if i remember correctly i believe he said in one of his interviews after immortal samsara that he could finally choose his own script. I dont think he was able to choose his own script until after the success of immortal samsara.

Also i was hoping for a more tear of joy, heart wrenching reconcilliation after what both of them went through, but that didnt happen.

I know accidentals are all bad but like i said it didnt make sense to me. The accidental scene wasn't

Its not even the clothes. Some of the things didnt make sense. Like the accidental. It wasnt even impactful enought to make me believe that it caused him to be paralzyed and damages his organs. And when they reconcile, i wish it was a more impactful reconciliation. Literally the scene before he was still pushing her away and then all of a sudden he was just ok with her kissing him.

That's true. They were probably just trying to make a quick buck using cheng yi's name to carry a low production drama.

I don't even mind the clothes cause cheng yi wardrobe is nice. But the story is off. Like according to the book he was suppose to be in this big accidental that damaged his legs and internal organs. The accident they prepared was anything but impactful. It didnt make sense to me. Even love at night with zhang yuxi and liu xueyi had a better accident scene.

You can clearly see the lack of budget in this production. Though i love love cheng yi this drama is slow pace and some things dont make sense. I'm not even mad at the rating lol. They can't even afford to get outfits for the leads. When they announced this drama I got this feeling that they were both forced to take it. Like they literally just finished filming stand by me and then they took this one. It didn't make sense to film two dramas back to back if both of them wanted to broaden their horizons. Good thing i went in with low expectations. I just watch to get cheng yi eye candy. Fast forward everything else.
