Wasn't it a fanmade one though? Browsed Weibo and didn't find anything...
I heard a leaked recording of a scence from the drama and it's was cheng yi's own voice. One thing that I've noticed is that chengyi is really good about changing his voice tones. I remember hearing some lines in South Wind and i was like wait is that his voice. And sometimes his voice even sounds different in bts clips. Maybe the ones who saw the trailer just got confused like I did.

Can we just hope that CY knows nothing of this matter and he's blissfully studying his script and preparing on…
Lol. Hopefully he didn't pay his phone bill this month. But he has strong character and doesn't let these things get to his head. Also he usually stay off social media so i think he will be fine.

I didn’t know HJJ and read up a bit about his scandals. I also think he should have sued his ex if it wasn’t…
Yes agreed. He should have sued that girl to make his point. If he doesnt want to hurt her, he could just not take the compensation after he wins his case. No one in their right mind would ruin their entire life and career not to prove their innocence. Like i said its a little fishy.

But i agreed Cheng yi definitely got the main bash of hate from this.

Selling it as I bought it so take it with a grain of salt, but apparently, the first casting director of this…
The thing is that Cheng yi slanders were fake. He sued in 2020, it took 3 long years but he won. Huang jun jie didnt sue, contact the girl, she apologized, and then he took a hiatus. The director shouldn't really compare the two actors in this way.

I agreed with Cheng yi fans about the protest because the Chinese government are a**** and they will ban a drama for the smallest things. But I also think while it is ok to protest it should be respectful and within the grounds of ethics. Spamming the platforms with calls, messages, going onto other artist's topics and leaving comments on other artist's pages, slandering are just out of line. One bad apple will ruin an entire harvest. I admit he does have some very toxic chinese fans.

I don't know about huang jun Jie's scandal so I read up on it and there's definitely flaws in the situation. A girl accused him of cheating cause he was caught with another girl. Then his family contacted the girl that accused him. After that she wrote a long post saying after their meeting she realized she was deceived and that huang jun jie wasn't the one that dated her and someone lied pretending to be him. But that's fishy. He's a celebrity, he is not obligated at all to contact anyone who publishes fake news about him. If it wasn't true, he should have sued her. But instead they quietly contacted her, she apologized, he got replaced in some projects, and then he announced his hiatus. It makes me think she definitely has dirt on him but they paid her to be silent.

But back to the booting. After Cheng yi fans protested, the two producers came out to defend huang jun jie. Then shortly afterwards, they delete their post and apologized for being rash. This makes me think that since no other cast members were announced before this except for Cheng yi, that the platforms were also not aware of huang jun jie's casting. After the uproar I bet the platforms had a little talk with the casting producers. But honestly I don't think any project would just outright remove a cast member after they've signed a contract just cause of fans protest. I think after everything that happen Huang jun jie is probably just tire and just want out.

While I wouldn't have mind huang jun jie in the drama because like Li Lian Hua said, those who truly repent should be forgiven, I think that the one person who is the biggest victim and got the short end of the straw is Cheng Yi. He would have suffered if huang jun jie remained in the cast, suffered as being the tool for a high profile drama, suffered from his fan's action, and now that huang jun jie is out of the project he will still suffered because antis will come out and bash him and accused him of doing something to get huang jun jie removed and he literally did nothing. He was all bright, cheery, and happy at the ceremony unaware of everything to come afterwards.

I just hope both actors finds peace and success in whatever projects they do going forward.

as I’m nearing the end of the series, there are some issues with this series:1. Makeup: Most of the actors look…
1. I agree with you on this one. I think it was bad lighting. The main lead's make up wasnt bad, but to me, su xiaoyong's makeup was off. Sometimes it was good and at other times I felt like I could see her mustache. So i think its just the bad lighting. If they applied filters on the actor's face so you couldnt see the makeup then everyone would complain about how fake and filtered their faces look. People just can't be please. I chose to just overlook it, because it's wasn't terribly horrible.

2. He was very famous but he did go on a hiatus for 10 years. His stamina and personality completely changed. If you havent seen someone for 10 years it is difficult to recognized them. Even if you do recognize them, if they denied it and they dont act like the same person, you too would also question if it was the same person. Also I believe they do recognize him, but he denies it. He was very familiar to them. Also there are alot of people who look similar...ahem Cheng yi and Li Hong Yi, lol.

3. If i remember correctly she only cried 2 times, once in the tunnel and again when she confronts the male lead. She is a questionable character but also understandable. In my opinion her character matured later on in the drama and she made up for it at the end.

4. Not sure if this is a real question or if you're confused as to where his martial arts come from. Wasn't he training martial arts with his master after his master saved him from the streets? As Fang Duo Bing said Li Xiangyi was a martial arts genius. He developed alot of his own moves and his inner power while training with his master. In many asian countries there are many kids as young as 7 who are superb at martial arts. Just search up some YouTube and tiktok videos. Jet Li won his first wushu championship at age 11 and then went on to win 5 straight title by the time he was 15 years old. China's first emperor became king at age 13 and took full control of his kingdom at age 22. So yes it is possible to be successful at a young age. Back in ancient times 11 to 20 year olds were way more matured beyond their years than kids these days.

5. Jiao li qaio was an obsessive pysopath. Its understandable that her character has a one type personality. If you look at pysopaths in real life they tend to always repeat their same habits. You wouldn't think someone like jiao li qiao would suddenly have a change of heart and start acting reasonable. That's not in her character and wouldn't make any sense.

Yes, i agree with you. Unfortunately his management team is provided by his agency. They're not his private team solely dedicated to him so they don't do much to protect him. It was just when he finally started to become known that they finally started issuing lawyer letters for the rumors and slanders. And he finally successful sued one of the runor mongers. They finally noticed how valuable he is to their agency. Compared to 7 years ago, they're much better now, although still not enough to protect him thoroughly. I'm just glad that every time someone tries to smear his image and make rumors about him, his previous colleagues, producers, directors, cast extras, friends, and even just people he meet for a moment, whether he met them recently or met them a long time ago, they would come out to defend him and tell about how genuinely kind and humble he is.

Can someone explain why Cheng yi developed some kind of trauma when he is being interviewed? Like I watched the…
Actually if you watch him in his earlier days he was more lively and less awkward. But he has encounter numerous numerous cyberbullying and criticism thats why he's more reserve now. I've been following him since 2016. At that time he was starting to gain attention in legend of chusen. He was cyber bullied saying he was trying to steal the spotlight from the main lead. A lot of people were not happy about the attention he was getting and then he suddenly went quiet for a few years. Then Love and redemption happened. He was criticized when crystal yuan kissed him on a show to promo the drama then criticized and cyberbullied again after the concert happened. Paparazzi tailed him, anti fans gave him letters cursing and condemned him. Thats why he has not taken any letters directly from fans up until after the iqiyi award show. At one point when he was going to work to film stand by me some anti fan threw a spoon at him. At another time an anti fan actually came up behind him and smacked his back. They screenshots portions of his interviews out of context and labeled it as him being inappropriate. They took his fan chat calls and cut out and piece together his words to make it seem like he was being inappropriate with fans. Hence why he won his recent lawsuit. He's been through so so much. A lot of new fans don't know because he's such a positive person and doesn't dwell on all the hardships he encounters.

That's part of their charms? 🤨🤨 Its not ur thing but that doesnt mean its lame. The anime has a huge following
Haha, Wow you're so butt hurt that i dont enjoy something you do. I said the comedy was lame, i never said those who enjoyed it were. If you feel thats a personal attack on you then you got life issues I've seen you attack other people on this platform and spreading hate to artists you dont even know. What a sad person you are.

I made the comment, is it not my opinion? I don't see why I need to specify that. I never attribute what i said to anyone else. Why are you so triggered? If you disagree all you had to do was state why you didn't think the comedy is lame.
I have no hate for the drama or cheng yi. I absolutely love chengyi and li yi tong. I was just stating what my hopes for the drama were. You can disagree if you like but no need to attack me. I've never spread hate on this platform.

It's my own opinion of it being lame, doesnt matter if it has a huge following or not. Its not lame for you and i respect your opinion, but for me its a huge turn off. MLC did comedy so well without it being forced or childish. But the scenes I've seen in the anime they're like always screamning childishly with baby voices its so annoying. Seems to be a favorite recurring theme in chinese dramas to have annoying childish characters especially female leads. Some people drop dramas because of that, so I'm not the only one.

Saw some clips of the anime online and I'm a little worry. I hope they dont keep any of those childish antics that some of the characters have, or some of those lame attempt at comedy in the anime. Since they've casted all matured actors and actresses I hope they give matured personailties to the characters. Also do not like any of the outifts in the anime. I'm glad the first and second one got good costume upgrades and I anticipate this one will as well.
