A bit disappointed. The last episode opens with a monologue making it pretty clear, Japan was wrong during the Second World War and Okinawa was a victim of Japan, that it was Japan and it's japanese soldiers that dealt more damage do the islanders. But then minutes after the protagonist talking with the same character os the prologue rises the idea that Japan should construct the base instead of Murrica, a Japanese Base, questioning if the "Self Defense Forces" are enough to "defend" Japan, assuming the dangerous militaristic idea that you can only protect yourself attacking others. The Late Shinzo "satan have him" Abe would love to hear this.
But that's my only criticism, watch it, it's good!
A slow but exceptionally well-written drama with actors equal to the material. I can see why it won so many awards,…
Yes, this is one of those few exceptionally well written, well acted and well directed dramas that the plebes unfortunately can't appreciate because "nothing happens" despite so much happening every episode.
Can't say "if only all dramas were on this level" because it would be emotionally exhausting.
Second Episode. The drama was caused but Japan's stupid laws. Independent of how and from where you are, you have to admit, Japan have some stupid laws that are holding the country back, making things worse.
But if the third episode goes as I suspect, I can see many japanese criticizes feeling "justified" with their xenophobia.
Some Japanese really hate this story. They call it propaganda by those trying to destroy the legal order of Japan.
Watched the first episode. I can't see anything here to be criticized, the only thing is that it's a romance between a japanese woman and a foreigner man. Have to wait the second episode to see where this story wants to go, the previous promises drama "and prejudice".

Is this a depiction of "child insanity"?

In the end Yeom Chang Hee was the best character and if you disagree with this you're just wrong you coward!
Meanwhile japanese population decreased by +538000 last year.
Copy everything and past on a text editor. Same manually adding the ".ass" at the end of the file name.
