Fun fact is minwoo character doesn't give any vibes, that he is either poor or heavily burdened with family issues.…
I absolutely agree with your arguments. There was a good plot with the mother but they put unecessary romance and some cases that could have been avoided.
I think the drama should have been like this
From episode 1 to 8: the main character solves cases, interacts with other characters in order for the viewers to learn who they are, the sides characters get more involved in the case.
From episode 8 to 16: the main character has to solve bigger cases, and one of them is related to the mother, challenges and things happen, lots of character development and other things, the romance is more developped, then the main character solves her cases, marry her love interest, and have a happy ending with her friends and family.
well, I think it would be lack of professionalism🤔
Yeah, I forgot the firm sponsored the trip. That's why I thought it was a bit outrageous for the client to pay a trip for 4 lawyers, I thought it was weird, even more for a case small like this lol.
Anyway, I'll look forward for the last episodes, hoping they won't disappoint.
well, I think it would be lack of professionalism🤔
Yeah I know, I ain't against it. I just say that irl, a client wouldn't like it if their lawyers use their business trip for a holiday. The client has to pay for the trip. In this case, the client was an acquaintance of YW who didn't care on how much he would pay his lawyers, so that works, but if it was an unknown client, that wouldn't work at all.
I explain my previous posts from the pov of a client who hires lawyers to solve his case. It's a drama so that works, but in real life, you wouldn't get a nice client who would pay a business trip for 4 lawyers, who decide that their friends will join too.
I don't think you understood what I meant in my post. I'm talking about how in real life things like that would more likely happen, versus how in the drama it happened.
well, I think it would be lack of professionalism🤔
Yeah, but it would still be frowned upon. Besides the fact that the secrets of the clients could be told while the lawyers talk about the case among themselves. They lived in the same apartment, with the papers related to the case in reach for them to see or to steal. If I was a client, I wouldn't have really appreciated if they invite people that aren't related to my case for their investigation, just for fun. I would think they didn't take my case seriously and just thought it's an occasion to go on a trip.
Besides, they didn't know when they went to Jeju if there was no mysterious thing that could pu the client in difficulty. He could have lied or forgot about something. Besides the client was also on the island too, so they could have met for the trial.
More than that, a business trip isn't a holiday with your friends. But anyway, I still like the drama.
One thing for sure, I still don't understand why they need that much lawyers for a case like that. 2 lawyers is enough.
Fun fact is minwoo character doesn't give any vibes, that he is either poor or heavily burdened with family issues.…
Yeah, if the writers had showed in the earlier episodes that he was struggling with his family, people would have more sympathy for his character. But they didn't, so it came out of a blue. That's the main mistake of the drama I think.
For each episode they focused mainly on the cases and showed some information about the characters and for the last episodes they decided to focus on the characters because they weren't well developped yet.
They should have avoided that by making during each episode a case which would help develop the characters at the same time. And they should have focused on making a more important storyline.
The storyline's main focus is to confront Young Woo with her mother, that's why Young Woo got hired, why she's obsessed with mother whale that never leaves their babies. The thing is, her mother isn't developped at all.
The main goal for the plot is to show how YW lives as an autist through challenges, and to reveal to everyone that YW's mother abandoned her. Being acknowledged as her mother's daughter will be the biggest challenge for YW.
well, I think it would be lack of professionalism🤔
True, they keep repeating that lawyers are supposed to keep the information regarding their case a secret but go on a business trip with 2 people that are not supposed to know about their case. It was still fun but it would be frown upon irl. Work and fun are completely different.
The problem in some dramas is that when they do romance, they want to pair all the characters with each other just because they talked to each other and have the looks for it ( same age, same style, same everything).
That's the case for Su Yeon and Min Woo. They could have simply paired Su Yeon with a new character as a side romance, just something short for everyone to see that she has found a good boyfriend. Instead they went the road let's pair the 2 side characters that hate each other.
Min Woo reminds me too much of assholes guys I encountered that just seeing his face give me nausea. Being poor is not a reason for being an asshole and undermining a coworker who is better than you.
Unfortunately, it's high likely Su Yeon will end up with Min Woo. Yuk.
Ugh!.. the only saving grace in this drama is SIG, only! coz I don't like the FLs character here. I loved her…
I agree that SIG is the only one that made me watch the drama. I stopped watching at episode 12 or 14 I think, I don't remember.
I don't think the actress suited the role, not because of her age, I dislike age shaming people, but because she doesn't fit at all.
She's got the looks of a rich girl. She would suit more chaebol dramas like in Penthouse. She's got the looks for it. But in this drama, the FL was supposed to be a tomboy who's got lots of strength, the actress doesn't look like a tomboy at all and she lacks muscles.
She's also supposed to be a good cop and claim herself as being righteous but she spent her time punching the ML, breaking into his house, which is illegal. The writer must have thought it would add humor to have a FL who hits the ML just like in some animes but it's not funny at all.
I also don't like the second couple, they should have stayed friends instead.
i could kiss you right now haha, I didnt want to voice out this opinion cuz i dont want to bring negativity to…
Yeah that's quite a bother. I posted this comment because I saw comments complaining about the FL when the ML really did stupid things too. Anyway Idc, when a character does stupid things, regardless of who they are, that will annoy me and when they do smart things, I'm happy. But the most important thing is for the story to have a good plot and not be boring. So far, I think Big Mouse has a good plot with good acting.
In Kdrama, when ML makes mistakes, no one complains, but when FL does, everyone starts to curse. Why does it happen so many times? I actually dislike some FL from some dramas but it's more because their character is pretty bland, same for ML. Anyway all actions from the characters are for the plot. I'll just complain that the writer didn't have any better ideas for the story.
Let’s say that was too shocking and she wasn’t thinking straight. But what about later when she’s in the…
She thinks the mayor is on her side. So far he has been on her side from her pov. Besides she knows that the mayor has followed her and spied on her before, he would know eventually through his own means. Anyway the lady got murdered and the murderer must have eavesdropped on the discussion. Meaning that the enemy whoever they are already knows about it, it's more like a race on who's gonna get the paper first, that's why the FL rushed. As viewers we know more about the story than her.
She's more realistic this way though. She's terrified, confused and doesn't know who to trust. In that situation…
Yeah she did, that was stupid of her but I understand that she did that because she didn't think before acting. At least, it's an evidence that she can't be Big Mouse. We'll see how her character will evolve, hopefully for the better.
Idk why people seem to dislike the FL because she's reckless sometimes. Ok it was stupid to see the director after the woman got killed, but if you think about the situation, it's quite normal for the FL to panic and think she needs to get to the necklace before anyone else does, even more likely before the murderer. She saw the lady she talked to just a few seconds ago die in front of her. How can she not panic?
Besides she's not the only one who acts without thinking.
The ML went to blackmail a rich dude who murdered someone and can hire contract killers anytime he wants, and kept only one copy of the recording tape instead of saving a copy somewhere else( unless he dit, but it's not told yet) . The guy accepted a random glass from a cleaning woman, not even checking who she is, that's how he got drugged and had his car accident. Don't eat drinks offered by strangers, that's something you learn at elementary school.
PCH reminds me of Kaito Kid. He plays the idiot to fool everyone and hide his identity. Besides the tarot cards really makes me feel he's like a magician, aka a conman.
I think the drama should have been like this
