Agreed. I think Sheng Wang is the one who'll take the plunge. Jiang Tian is already down bad but at the same time, he's too cautious. He took so much time in letting his guard down, he'll take his sweet time in getting used to the feelings he's developing for Wang especially when they have this unwanted tag of "brothers" Wang on the other hand is more resilient. I totally get it. Even the earlier episodes were slice of life yet at no point I felt that it's not delivering. I enjoyed all the 8 episodes so much. Even rewatched all of them. But this one was not upto the mark as I said my expectations went a bit too high hehe
I'm still confused as to what happened? The pace, the sentiments— everything was going so smoothly till the 8th ep. It's okay to make such filler episodes not every episode should contain meaningful things but inserting filler stuff in the 9th ep when we're all on our toes waiting for Wang & Tian to realise their feelings is weird. I'm sorry but this episode felt out of place to me.
The best thing about The On1y One is how emotionally engaging every episode is. This episode didn't do justice to the overall tone of the show. I might've gotten my expectations too high. I haven't read the novel I'm sure it has way more detailings but that was handled in such an amazing manner all throughout the past 8 episodes. I hope this was just one episode slump and ep 10 picks up the pace again we don't have much time left 🥲 I don't want this show to end before the boys even realise their feelings
