And I still stand by it! I'm still a skynani fan, still pretty excited for wu. I still tell off haters who label skynani as homophobes just because they have boundaries. I call out the ones who hate skynani, and those who cry about it being a bromance and not bl but I somewhat agree with people who point out gmmtv's bullshit. I've mentioned in my comment above as well. I'm not against skynani, I'm against gmmtv trying to exploit bl fans. They're targeting bl fans instead of skynani fandom. Selling a bromance show to gagaoolala, an exclusive lgbtq+ platform is an obvious give away. They are not targeting hetero audience or iminas, they're targeting bl girlies so that they can hype the chemistry between skynani again. It was nice to see in high school frenemy because it was unintentional, but purposely trying to lure fans in to see something that is not even there is weird. We can enjoy a bromance as bromance we don't need to paint it as something else, and if fans do that it's fine everyone ships characters in shows whether it's canon or not, I do too, but the company pulling this shit is so weird and exploitative imo. Skynani is a brand at this point, their name is enough to sell any product, there is no need to lure bl fans is all I'm saying.

Been waiting for this series to wreck me for 1.5 years!! If they do it right tth can become a classic bl and set a benchmark for all thai and non-thai bls. This theme has so much potential to win awards and become critically acclaimed. I hope they do everything right because I want this show to become iconic!

Um, idk which fans you have come across so far but if it's obvious that two people are in love and there's a proper confession I think most people would call it a bl/romance. Queerbaiting is when the characters dance around the idea of love but it never really goes anywhere. There are many bls that have bland storyline and endless nc scenes and they have pretty low ratings. I won't disgaree that some bad bls are overhyped too but not so much because of kissing and sex but more because of their loyal fans. For me, chemistry and plot matters most, and there are many others like me, kissing and touching would be boring without a plot. Let's not generalize bl fans is all I'm saying. And a little kissing and touching doesn't hurt anyone. Real people kiss and touch a lot too.

Judging by the trailer, I think it's neither bl nor entirely bromance. It's going to lie somewhere in between. That's why it's called soulmates. Just a guess!

Btw can we stop shaming people who wanted it to be a bl or reduce them to "people who only care about kissing and sex". Some people want to watch two men fall in love as well. I personally don't care if it isn't a bl, but let's just not shame others for expecting different things.

I don't really follow the discourse as I'm not on toxic apps like Twitter, but I've always supported Wu and skynani & still do. I often tell off those who only come to hate on skynani. That said, it’s pretty obvious atp that gmmtv is targeting BL fans. They're clearly marketing toward them and even selling a bromance show to Gaga, which is mainly for LGBTQ+ audiences, only bl/gl watchers subscribe to that app. They're appealing more to shippers than general viewers.

HSF was a big unexpected hit, yes but let's be honest, it blew up largely because bl girlies hyped it as they shipped SaintShin. I know because I'm one of them- a bl girlie that watched those saintshin edits and then started the show. Thankfully it lived up to the hype. I don't ship real people neither do I support toxic fan culture or forcing actors into doing bl. When it became clear they might not want to do one, I respected that and continued supporting them as actors. But that doesn't mean I get to ignore how gmmtv exploits bl fans. They've done it all this time by producing weak ass bl shows that still succeed because of loyal fandoms, they're doing it again with skynani shows. Except content is better but not bl.

Maybe skynani just see this as work and want to collaborate without doing bl, and that's fine. But gmmtv is clearly capitalizing on their chemistry to pull in bl fans, which feels like a lack of confidence in their own content. As if, if they sell it by calling it what it is, no one would tune in. Don't they know skynani have huge fandom that will tune in no matter what? Let's not defend this shitty company out of our love for the actors. We can call out the bullshit without hating on skynani or taking every allegation against the company as an allegation against the actors and then mock everyone who simply disagrees.

Yes you can, I'm doing the same. The characters from season 1 do appear as they're all friends but it's not confusing at all. This story is a part of fourever you season 2 only. FY2 has 3 stories; first is FahPhoon- beside the sky, 2nd is ArthitDao- the sun from another star and 3rd will be lately it's winter season which is yet to air.

This might be the cutesttttt thing I've watched in a while. I'm such a picky watcher and yet they gave me everything I like in just 4 episodes. I went in blind, thinking it's just another teen romance, high school dramas don't impress me much as I'm in my twenties. But oh my goddd it had no business being this cute. The chemistry, the creative plot, the plot progression everything was so perfect!! I don't remember when was the last time I gave a 10 to a bl, I always find some flaws, I'm amazed that I can't find one in this. These babies deserve a 10! I hope SurfJava get many more opportunities ahead, they're very natural together <3

Because the haters cannot digest the fact that skynani have so much chemistry and still won't kiss, that they only make friendship based shows and still gain as much traction as bl ships, that they're earning and enjoying the attention without any fan service where they pretend to be in love, that they have found a way to work together to make their fans happy while still maintaining boundaries. Haters can try to paint it as "homophobia" or "queerbaiting" but nothing can hide the fact that all these whiners are just plain jealous and bothered. I have realised that there are countless people in this world that love to create problems out of nothing simply because they're miserable and empty in their own lives.

I'm laughing at the ragebait thingy, as a fujoshi I'm going to watch it because it looks great and I like skynani, I think they don't wanna do a bl and I respect that, neither gmmtv nor the haters/fans can force them.

I'm all in for praising Wu, the trailer looks promising, the cast is fantastic but because gmmtv doesn't even give their bls the plots as good as this we don't even know how it would turn out. Other productions are mixing different genres with bls and they're turning out well. It's gmm's fault that when it comes to bls it's always the same repetitive slop with no actual plot since they know the cps have huge fandoms so they'll support whatever their favs star in. Gmm's just lazy.

I'm not saying Wu should've been a bl, I don't see the point of forcing romance in a show that doesn't want to be one but if gmmtv ever makes a bl with a plot similarly strong and engaging as Wu or Peaceful Property or even The Gifted, it wouldn't necessarily be a downgrade. They have never even tried it. They should try it in future with their bl cps, actually. It's high time or else other productions will take over in the coming future.

Oh, no read my comment again, I mentioned brainless repetitive romcoms not just romcoms. I'm a romance girlie myself. Romcoms can be great, as you said if they're well made-- exactly, but these days, many thai bls are using the same age old formula so it's getting boring and I see the most mid ass shows getting 10/10 here not because it's some groundbreaking story, but because the ship has huge fandom. I disparaged romcoms that have nothing new to offer in terms of story or acting not romcom as a genre. I watch romcoms too, who doesn't? Life would be empty without some romance and comedy :) I love romcoms that are well balanced and have their sweet endings, I meant sometimes it's nice to appreciate realistic portrayals too and I understand why people would want happy endings, but not every show needs that. And the sad ending made sense in 180 degree atleast. It was extremely realistic.

You talk like horror genre did not exist before khemjira. That show was well executed and directed but the leads lacked chemistry, the 2nd couple was much better. This one doesn't even have any romance so the center of attention will be the horror/mystery element. While I agree having bl elements in wu would've been exciting but it's their choice.
