A Hidden Gem
As an avid cdrama and kdrama watcher for almost 7 years now, I cannot believe that I have not discovered and watched this drama until now, and its safe to say that it did not disappoint, becoming one of my favorite kdramas I have ever watched.
Honestly, I first want to applaud the acting. The acting was incredible! Lee Joon Gi and Moon Jae Won acted their roles beautifully. The emotion, the tension, the love communicated through their eyes and body language was beautiful to watch. Especially the really emotional scenes, whenever LJG cried, oh my my heart broke. The way he cried was gut-wrenching and truly conveyed the emotions of the characters.
Second, the plot. Like many others who enjoyed this show, I am not someone who likes crime or thriller dramas, but this one had me hooked. There were plot twists, suspense, and thrill communicated in an amazing way that kept you wanting more, watching every episode until you realise there are none left. I don't want to reveal too much about the plot because, honestly, it was great and shouldn't be spoiled, but my only complaint about this drama is the ending. The whole cliche amnesia ending in the last episode was so unnecessary. We didn't even get 1 episode just for the leads to be happily in love! Give Do Hyun Su a break, this boy has genuinely been through enough, the last episode was so heart-breaking, but other than that, I have no other complaints.
I also want to mention the chemistry. OH MY the chemistry between LJG and MJW was exceptional. They were so cute as a couple with their daughter, and I was rooting for this couple from the get go. The way they loved and persevered each other was beautiful to watch.
Overall, I cannot believe that this drama was hidden from me for 6 years. It was an amazing watch, definitely give it a try!
