is this any good ? i watched first 4 episodes and it is very slow
It’s meh. Very high production value (sets, costumes, etc), strong acting, let down by mediocre writing. It’s a mystery where the detectives aren’t smart - clues just conveniently fall into their laps one after another.
Great cast, amazing sets, beautiful costumes, high production value across the board . Terrible writing. I think maybe they used AI to write the script? Or the director's semi-literate nine year old nephew?
Some people are calling the FL a red flag, but I’m genuinely confused. So far, I haven’t seen any reasonable…
She lies to him continuously throughout the drama and makes sure he knows he’s not even remotely a priority in her life. She’s beyond a red flag, she’s a giant red blinking stop light.
I get it’s a reverse gender roles, but usually the uber rich alpha male lead CEO is hard on the outside, but a soft simp on the inside who makes it obvious he would do anything for the FL. In this drama the FL is hard on the outside, ice cold on the inside, a pathological liar, and doesn’t give a crap about the ML. Hard pass.
I’d literally take any of the sisters (even the crazy one), the cousin, and most of the maids before getting involved with the FL.
LJL is a self-made officer who fights violent criminals and corrupt high-level officials, a genius, a master of…
They turned him into a giant simp. It would have been much better if he had regained some confidence, intelligence and self-respect along with his memories.
The master's daughter ended up being such a great supporting/guest character. She's genuinely wise, kind hearted,…
If he was smart, he would marry her for sure. But he's a giant simp, so it's not going to happen. He will continue to follow around the FL like a puppy as she lies, gaslights, and uses him.
I REALLY hate voluntary mutism used by writers as a mechanism to generate misunderstanding between characters.…
Agreed. Most of the drama in C-dramas and K-dramas is due to lack of communication. It goes beyond clearing up misunderstandings, I like how dramas have someone go away for weeks or months for some reason (vacation, school, work, or whatever) and somehow in those weeks they were "too busy studying or working" to send a single text or make a single call to their significant other. Like really, in three months you couldn't find the time to spend five seconds to send a text?
anybody watching glory and unclouded soul at the same time? which one do you prefer?
I'm watching both. Very different dramas. Both are romances, but one is a lighthearted and mostly fluffy fantasy series, the other is a more serious family politics drama. Even better add "Shine on Me" and watch all three, that's what I'm doing :)
But I get your point. It’s overused.

Not the grandmother though. She’s worse.
But the crown goes to "A Beautiful Lie". Worst final third of any drama ever.
