She lies to him continuously throughout the drama and makes sure he knows he’s not even remotely a priority in her life. She’s beyond a red flag, she’s a giant red blinking stop light.

I get it’s a reverse gender roles, but usually the uber rich alpha male lead CEO is hard on the outside, but a soft simp on the inside who makes it obvious he would do anything for the FL. In this drama the FL is hard on the outside, ice cold on the inside, a pathological liar, and doesn’t give a crap about the ML. Hard pass.

I’d literally take any of the sisters (even the crazy one), the cousin, and most of the maids before getting involved with the FL.

Not the grandmother though. She’s worse.

Awesome start. Ending was a dumpster fire.

It fell off badly for sure.

But the crown goes to "A Beautiful Lie". Worst final third of any drama ever.

Started incredibly strong. Then in typical c-drama fashion crashed and burned in the last episodes.

They turned him into a giant simp. It would have been much better if he had regained some confidence, intelligence and self-respect along with his memories.

If he was smart, he would marry her for sure. But he's a giant simp, so it's not going to happen. He will continue to follow around the FL like a puppy as she lies, gaslights, and uses him.

He's an NPC (Non-Player Character - Staff), she is a customer and can choose her role.

Agreed. Most of the drama in C-dramas and K-dramas is due to lack of communication. It goes beyond clearing up misunderstandings, I like how dramas have someone go away for weeks or months for some reason (vacation, school, work, or whatever) and somehow in those weeks they were "too busy studying or working" to send a single text or make a single call to their significant other. Like really, in three months you couldn't find the time to spend five seconds to send a text?

I'm watching both. Very different dramas. Both are romances, but one is a lighthearted and mostly fluffy fantasy series, the other is a more serious family politics drama. Even better add "Shine on Me" and watch all three, that's what I'm doing :)

Can someone please spoil me on how the ML knows the FL? Is it typical drama where he fell in love with her in kindergarten and has loved her ever since? Was it the car accident?

It was a scene where she talked with her parents, and they explained that her family owns 49% of that company. So not only is she the sole heir of her own big real-estate company, but she also owns half of the company she works at. Girl is rich.

Did anyone else notice that the bunk beds in the work dorm are too short for even these small actresses to lay down in? I think the set designers bought toddler beds…

Came for Jin Mai, staying for Jin Mai. Her visuals do not disappoint.
