The Fei Er character is sooooo annoying.

None that are reciprocated, other characters are interested in the leads, but they only have feelings for each other.

Up to episode 18 enjoying it but have taken a few days break to watch something different then i'll finish it.

I think I only finished it, because of the sequel.

Agreed as a guy, I've always preferred long, straight, and dark hair.
But my preferences don't matter, if she(the woman/women in general ) likes it that way it's their choice.

Obviously U.S TV and movies, clearly don't have much depth to them, although it may have been what I watched.
I accidently clicked on The Beauty Inside on Netflix last May thought SHJ was attractive ended up binge watching it and never looked back lol Practically don't watch shows in English anymore.

Annoyingly it doesn't show up for me on either. Kissasian my goto site if the show isn't on Netflix or Amazon.

If I would have watched this without being aware there is a sequel then I would have been pissed with that ending.
Although I never ruined it by looking too much, the fact there is a contemporary setting sequel with reincarnation, etc I knew where this was heading. Straight away you know they'll never be able to be together due to all the palace and political minefield and with her being forced to marry.
The inevitable ending you see from practically the beginning, yet I watched every second of it and am now jumping straight into the sequel.

I completely agree with you, not as bad as it was here in the West, women can and do unfortunately get the worst of it.
As for the East, as I'm not Asian I can only comment on how it's depicted in dramas, and women seem to have it worse there. (obviously based of TV,).

Still though men do get it from women, as well as different forms.

I haven't watched it yet, but wasn't their marriage like a contract type one it wasn't a real one, so they aren't really married right.

What difference does it make what sex either is,.
I'm a man and I get plenty annoyed when the sexes are the other way around, I don't care you don't treat people either male or female that way, sex has nothing to do with it.
