Ok I know everyone seems to be oddly comforted by the fact that they get a happy do over in the modern times but its not really any consolation if you ask me because 1.) they go through this suffering without knowing that they eventually get a do over 2.) it literally takes centuries... just centuries of their lingering longing. Just think about that as you are going nuts just waiting DAYS for the next episodes to drop and 3.) he doesn't even remember and probably thinks wow this gal is a total babe, she is not all together upstairs but she is such a babe who cares if she is delusional and remembers some strange past life... I could be off on comment no 3 bc I abandoned the novel so far I like the drama a lot better.

The CCP has been on a massive and intensifying tirade against billionaires, internet cos, idol actors, education, gaming... all the vices that stand in the way of making China great again. While long form video is not in the immediate crosshairs, it does suck up an intense amount of time in non-productive pursuits that do not benefit society. So yeah, less is more in terms of promotion etc... lets just be happy they are finally allowing some stuff to air again.

It doesn't matter. No offense to the XZ and YZ fans but that story line sounds tired and boring and they are both individually good looking people but to me, they don't look good together. It can top the charts for months for all I care I still won't waste one moment on it.

Lol tyvm for the color but the idea of slugging it thru 35 episodes to get to the good stuff is like climbing Mt Everest to me. I have short attention span.

Thank you for posting this. What he did was ignorant and stupid. But the really ugly people in this mess are the ones who are erasing him. It is only in math that two wrongs make a right. In real life, we can choose to take the high road and give him the benefit of the doubt or choose to take the low road and show him how we can be even worse people. I know what I choose. And to be clear, I hate the shrine and everything it represents. But I also may have unknowingly wandered by there AND I have many great Japanese friends who hate it every bit as much. We cannot change the past but we can change the future. The better lesson is to not cancel him and all his accounts and let him hear his fans tell him how angry/hurt/disappointed they are in him. And let him suffer from the weight of their disapproval and give him a chance to redeem himself. Geez he is not a war criminal, he is just a dumb ass for crying out loud!

You are absolutely right. This thing is riddled with plot holes and unbelievable coincidences and the performing troupe is capable of incredible feats of deception and the FL is incredibly capable of handling it all. All true, the douban site is a nit picker's paradise in terms of all the plot holes and it is indeed hard to argue with a lot of it. It is totally NOT ON if this were a serious plot heavy drama but its not. It is just a light comedy/ancient soap opera that is best enjoyed by closing one eye and just going along for the ride. If you can't do that, best watch other stuff because this is the way this one is. I think its pretty funny and very enjoyable. I am not going to rate it that highly but I am entertained nonetheless.

This is 100pct going to be a tragedy.they are going out of their way to make sure that it is obvious from the get go. It doesn't matter, the best stories are sad stories. Otherwise we would be like Romeo and who????

Yeah and you know just like peeps who love a drama have fun watching it together, peeps who think its only so-so have fun laughing at it together... why is one ok and the other not???
