Thanks for your kind word it’s been a busier year than I like. 😅Indeed LYN seems to have found his comfort…
lol - RJL is a low bar he just needs to avoid romance. I didn’t like the Lusi drama at all - I put her on my NO list after that.

PBG....how I've missed you ❤️ So happy to read your thoughts here. You've encapsulated my take and explained…

Indeed LYN seems to have found his comfort zone here and he pulled it off well here but I wish the character writing challenged him a bit more.

Another excellent, realistic review, couldn’t agree more because I came for the political intrigue and got mainly…
Yes lots of missed potential here. Eternal Brotherhood is much more politics and war. Maybe try that next.

Your review is what I've been waiting for!!! This sounds like the perfect drama for me because it's romance-focused,…
Go for it - I think you will definitely enjoy this regardless of the love brained ML. 😍

Well written and on point review from you as always. As soon as I finished the drama, I kept coming back to your…
Side characters were terrific!
I will be watching EB2 next but I need to refresh myself on S1 bc unlike this it is plot heavy so it’s good to watch it together. Maybe you can remind us of what happened in S1 whenever we get lost. 😅

Very short review from you but still good. More romance and comedy heavy than plot and nonexistent villains for…
Thx, trying to keep them short.

Yes I will but I kind of forgot all the characters and where we left off in plot already so I need to refresh myself before starting.

Putting aside that one is better than other skills wise, I think what bothered me more is the complete disconnect…
They probably didn't at all, knowing how egos work in that business...

Well written! Was waiting to read your review. Your review gave me some understanding about DengKe’s style.…
Tyvm. Deng Ke is not a bad director but he is not consistent - he tends to start strong and fizzle out. You are right that it could be that he is just someone who prefers to shoot romance and avoids complexity.

Review In Blossom
"Casting wise… you do not put the stronger actress to first portrayal the character that will be replaced by the actual leading actress."
Pay attention director!!!
This was so forgettable the only thing I haven't forgotten is how narcissistic and off-putting JJY was in this drama.

Yeah he was just miscast in that kind of role and it did him lasting damage.

Title The Prisoner of Beauty Spoiler
Yea they honestly could’ve saved him.
Nah, she went to visit her father with the baby bc he wrote her that he wants to meet his grandson and accepted Bi Zhi. It was after the child's birth.

Title The Prisoner of Beauty Spoiler
Because it was so rushed for me, anyone care to explain to me how they end up having to split again and got attacked…
The coward uncle's turn was the most ridiculous bc his number one goal is always to stay alive and avoid war. But I guess he was manipulated by gossip that he is weak and his bro would make a better governor. It was stupid logic but in any case he turned bc the plot needed him to. With the uncle's help Liu Yan was able to take Panyi. Bc of of its strategic location and access to the Yongning dam which is the confluence of all the rivers and the key to the waterway, they can threaten all the surrounding states. WS could not retake Panyi and defend Yulou at the same time. So Wei Yan came to Yulou's aid and flanked Xue Tai's attacking army. Xue Tai then became under attack from all sides by the defending Wei troops and the attacking Bianzhou troops.

I haven't watched Wu Haochen (Wei Qu) since NIF2, where he had a main role that IMHO he didn't quite live up to. Unlike Liu Haoran, it didn't open doors to better roles for him and he has been languishing in support roles since. I really enjoyed his Wei Qu in this. He was so funny and likeable and intense at all the right moments that it made me realize he is a really fine actor. I hope he gets some some better roles going forward bc I'd like to watch him again. Hope his role is a good one in Sword into Plowshares which I am really looking forward to.
