I agree with you they shot those scenes on different days and it wasn't consistently staged. But I am much more bothered by how Liu Biwen was skewered through the door multiple times and lived to be killed again (dead this time) by multiple stabs by his bro.

No I am not saying that at all... at this point. I just hope they don't go too far. Bai Wan's death for example seems to me gratuitous. And kind of stupid - like how could they mistake her for Yan? Han Zhiling's death was also wilful in its own way bc Gu Yu dug his heels in and refused to leave to revenge another day. Its easy to be like that when its Han Zhiling that has to die to pay the price. I also don't quite consider that a worthy death. So I am not exactly on the same page with respect to the comment every death was worth it.
