The Princess
This should be just titled at that. What pleasantly to watch is Zhang Zi Yi’s acting truly princess. Behaving, gesturing and slaying the scenes every time 😁.
She is always epic with her works. Academy award level.
Zhou Yi Wei you are the reason for real! I’ve seen him at The Longest Day in Chang An and he is awesome. Always have this hunch that he’ll be perfect playing with romance interest. In this drama, obviously actors out there must pay attention to how sexy he portray Xiao Qi. His level is just way up there. Mature way of romancing a woman, his woman. Not the cheesy way. The mature gorgeous way. Aside to that, he’s my favorite General so far. I’ll put him at the top, leveled with Wu Lei’s Huo Bu Yi. One is general from the commoners and the other is from the royals. Xiao Qi is the surprises. When you think he couldn’t love more. When you think he couldn’t be more reasonable. When you think he’ll turn led to greed and vengeance. Xiao Qi turn the table as someone even greater. His emotions has always able to put his opponents dismayed. He may not smell one royal intrigue trap coming at him but he sure knows how to retaliate.
Jump to the last episode, surprising way in revelations. The secrets of all plotting out to be nothing but envy. A Wu is so pretty and graceful, captivating the men may he be rough or gentle. Turning one honest man to be blinded by his infatuation. Huai En turn evil is just so sad. Why would him. Then again, attraction is the affection which you can’t control. Xiao Qi over trusting his comrade-in-arms just went south. It is like the same curse befallen of King Arthur trusting Lancelot to guard and protect Guinevere. One should looked closely in the mirror before let his demons clouded.
Creepy Song Huai En and Creep Su Jin Er is well
played as well. Diabolical and treacherous while playing the innocent face of sworn ‘brother’ and ‘sister’ card, both characters send chills to the spine.
Xiao Qi and A Wu has always ooze that lifetime partner aura. The warmth devotion Xiao Qi shown towards A Wu is very intense. He sure knows his way of charming his woman. Their relationship is like couple goals, not too perfect but enough common sense.
The costumes are not exactly my favorite. However, all was grandeur and divine. Somehow it fit looked like a bit over the edge. The jewels and crown also just so so. The cinematography very nice. The angle on each scene is epic and creates this interesting picturesque. Beautiful and breathtaking. Xiao Qi and A Wu gets the best costumes, I supposed. Somehow the fabric swayed elegantly with their movements.
There are lots of memorable scenes. The quite interesting one was when Prince Zi Dan make this shrieking voice to Su Jin Er, disbelief of her news on A Wu’s death. That was surprisingly good. Another one was when Xiao Qi told A Wu he would only take her as his one and only wife. Man, that was so convincing and full of hope.
The war and sword fighting scenes are fine, I’ve seen better ones. It was ok not too shabby. Although it could’ve been much better. More clash zooming with nicer edits.
The Rebel Princess poster is dramatically good. Very approve. It captures that romance and passionate between lovers. This drama has the it value for rewatching. Very glad to watching it to ending.
