The problem with this is that they did absolutely nothing to improve the faults the story has.
It is just a literal copy and paste of the bland plot filled with lots of holes — which means that it’s just as feud-filled and lacking sweet romance or reason how love occurred.
I don’t recall liking Ken’s version all that much … I think this will be a bigger letdown.
On EP2 & I can't get over the loud dong dong background music, as well as the costume designs in this one. I understand it's more linked to historical European outfits as well as the year of this lakorns release... but I am sorry, I enjoyed the 2020 designs better.

Currently on EP4. An overall entertaining lakorn. There are faults but I don't hate the lakorn. It's alright, slightly enchanting, and drenched in the whimsical vibe that fairytales have.
So far I am enjoying the scenery, costume, and flow of the drama.
What I am not enjoying are: 1. The concubine's daughters and their drama 2. Tik's makeup just makes him look unappealing and much older IMO 3. Tik's acting is lacking the masculinity and presence a stereotypical King should have. While it's cute that he acts like a child trying to woo the FL, but his character needs to be more sharp and confident — which I am not seeing be brought to the table. 4. I don't quite like the FL's brother's character or his pair, the princess of Tanta. Both are self absorbed in their "me me" mind-set and while possessing the physical aura of what it takes to be a royal, they don't possess the mind. Even when the princess found out that the FL was "abducted" because of her actions, she still thought about how now she was going to be given as an exchange and "no one cares for her"... Super annoying the both of these two.
Currently on EP6 The FL is either dumb or plain oblivious. it’s so obvious the ML is soooo into her and totally in love with her. He’s practically a puppy! At this point the only thing left is for him to pee on her!
Completed Quite entertaining and generally smooth sailing or quick resolving plot. Although with questionable chemistry between the FL and the ML. In fact, I felt there was more chemistry between Kimberly and Pop, and they played siblings! Would have been much better with more sweet scenes between FL and ML, and a different actor perhaps.
Completed episode 1 and boy is this (their world) a whole mess.
Completed episode 3 and I feel like I'm doing my Psychology degree again, analysing Max and his behaviour.
Completed episode 4 and the psycho has arrived.
Completed episode 10 and while I’ve seen many shameless second female leads in lakorn land, this SFL has to be the most shameless, disgusting POS I’ve seen in my drama life.
Quite entertaining. There are plot holes and the story doesn’t have too much depth.
There were areas that could have been explored more (eg: what did the girl do with her life? Was she a student? A useless person? What was her foundation?) or could have concluded better (can’t spoil) , but it was an easy watch and the aesthetically pleasing cinematography was lovely.
Overall, I don’t regret spending my time watching this. She got who I wanted her to get.
However —
Be cautious of investing your time in this movie If you’re someone who takes your fiction quite seriously and judges the actions of characters to the point of not being able to handle any feelings of dislike produced, and commenting on other people’s comments and their experience. This is probably not for you.
