Isn't anyone else bothered by this channel (Insight with Jingyuan) only providing "stories" and never footage? I mean, anyone can tell a story, but providing evidence is vital.

Well, I don't believe in foreign interference. Rarely anything good comes from that. I guess the only way to get justice for all the victims, is for the Chinese people to stand up for them and change the system from within. Only the weight of the people can move mountains. But in terms of reality, that will most likely never happen, as you say.

Since there is no criminal case, MDL won't make an article about it. The powers behind what happened to him have long arms and deep roots. May he one day receive justice.

I believe a lot of us are feeling the exact same kind of grief for a man whom most of us never really knew before hearing about what happened to him. I did see one of the shows he is in but didn't pursue any of his other works since he didn’t catch my eye (he wasn’t ML). However, when I heard about this case, I too had trouble sleeping and even felt nauseous when thinking about the pain and fear he must have felt in his final days. And the fact that it is being covered up, poked my sense of righteousness in a way I haven’t experienced before. I think that I am far from the only one in which this struck a “nerve”. That is also why I still follow this case and come to this page to see if any new development is reported. I hope so much for him to get justice, but the longer it takes, the less likely it seems.

Yes, I did watch that video. I also saw a video where he dances while rubbing his stomach. That was only a few days after the rumor of YML's stomach being cut open to retrieve a USB-drive (Fan ShiQi allegedly being one of the instigators) broke. Honestly, the rubbing isn't odd in itself (he is not the first artist to do that), but right after such a rumor, it just feels eiry.

He does have some strange behavior. I can't forget the alleged post he wrote admitting to killing YML. If true, it's really chilling. However, the amount of fake news in this case makes it hard to tell which news are true and which are false.

Now, there is also a post from Oct 27th (also about Fang Li providing an "alibi"). It wasn't there last time I looked. Perhaps they are going through the posts and decides which ones they can show without Censorship closing it down again? Or perhaps it's something technicallly? I don't know.

It is true that you are now able to search for his name on Douyin (I just did). The latest posts are from Oct 28th (about Fang Li providing evidence to clear his name) and Oct 16th (about only 80 pictures being visible on YML's Weibo). Then there is a gap to Sept 28th (about a song). So, the search possibility is true but apparently no new posts are visible.

Well, I haven't seen his contract, but if the rumors are true, it contained clauses making it practically impossible to get out of, despite him being able to hire lawyers. There is a video about contracts in the entertainment industry, that - if true - shows the way many artists signs contracts that gives the agency power to do just about anything they want:

I believe he did whatever he could to get out, but perhaps he knew too much about what went on behind the scenes, that they wouldn't allow it. No matter what, he was a gentle and generous soul who didn't deserve to suffer that kind of fate.
