I'm not a fan of medical dramas and the only ones that I remember watching with a hospital as the main setting…
1. No you don't need to watch Hospital Playlist first 2. The drama has a lot in treating patients and surgeries, but the main story of the drama is about the characters and their lives and struggles as first year residents and their growth. It feels more of a life-genre than medical (plus more than hints of romance 😉). I'm not a fan of medical dramas either. I can't stomach things. I skip the gruesome and repeated medical scenarios. But I truly enjoyed this drama, even more than HP. It was very pleasant. That's my personal opinion!

Even though I can watch some dramas without subs, but only if the dialogues were so so simple I can kind of understand it. But in the case of this drama, the writing is so witty and has so much depth and I can't just watch it without understanding it fully 😩
