my guess is this all starts when si heon sends a delivery package of the walkman to Junhee in 2023.

1. si heon who woke up after the coma in 2002 was the siheon of 2022(after the crash). and yes he lives through 2023 to stop ingyu's death( in which he fails) to warn himself about the crash (Fails again) - NOW ALL THIS HAPPENS TWICE(1&2loop). then he in the second loop does all that again but also leads junhee on to her time travel journey ( succeeds). 2. he boads the plane because he wants to meet Junhee. the crash has to happen for her boyfriend to die and junhee traveling back to time and him meeting her again.3. yes you are right here. see he could have lived with JH as YJ but - he wanted to love her as si heon. - he wanted to save ingyu. and most importantly he wanted to meet junhee in the year 1998 so he could meet her.

he is actually the siheon who travels back to his original body in the year 2002 after plane crash of 2022. SO when the crash happened si heon's soul in YJ's body travels back to the og SH who now knows everything from ingyu's death to junhee to the crash. he waits till 2007 car crash to happen so that the YJ loop starts again. then when 2022 comes this limping siheon who traveld back in time warns the other SH about the crash. To board the plane was the 2nd SH's choice. the loop starts again technically making 2 SH's to be present from 2007-2022.

he died during the car crash only

no no si heon never went back to his 1998 year the only timelines he went to was 2002 and 2007 and only in 2007 he meets his to be gf junhee which he purposefully chases. only junhee from 2023 goes to the year 1998 the original si heon's world. believe the whole loop starts with junhee time travelling to 1998 then things happen in the same way till 2022 but in the first loop there was only one si heon to board the plane then second loop starts where si heon starts time travelling to different years.

He didn't cause the accident. Also it was the original yeonjun.

There aren't really any plot holes if we actually understand the timelines though I do believe they could have done it a tad bit cleaner. They still did a pretty great job.

I understand your frustration but si heon did not just die he HAD to die in the plane crash to go back to his body in 2002. Then repeat the whole cycle to reach to the point where they knew who the actual killer was. The loop happens twice.

yes it is same and whats the issue with doppelganger? they do exist. we dont really see much of yeonjun anyway so we dont get the time to see how his personality may have differed from si heon. its a fantasy drama hence follows different rules than the real world.

all of that had to happen for the timeline to be erased in the end and when that happened yeonjun and tae ha both would have been alive and well. also si heon doesn't know anything about koo yeonjun unlike how junhee does with regards to minju and that's because he was already dead and in a way si heon became the reason for yeonjun's mother to spent time with his son for 15 more years. i dont feel like he was selfish in the least bit, how can we expect him to do something for someone who he knows nothing about (its sad yes but its realistic) and leave his very own people to die who he can actually save. he'll have to make a choice in the end and i think he chose what he could save rather than what he could not.

we dont hear anything from him as he died in the car accident only his body was there. :/

yeonjun already died in the car crash tho it was just his body no soul was present. even if he would have survived the plane crash and his body was found he would be brain dead ( if thats how body without a soul works in fantasy world)

the ending bus scene is not from 2023 but 2011. back in 1998 minju finally recognised the one who was there for her all along which is ingyu, they may have started dating. and the real yeonjun died in the car accident itself while his body died in the plane crash.

lol okay so in ep 9 two timelines are shown side by side one from 2006 and one from 2007. also in 8th ep its shown how after the car accident of original yeonjun, si heon time traveled to the future that is 2007. so now-
1. si heon in yeonjun's body chases after junhee(2007) and they eventually fall in love.
2. then fast forward to 2022. si heon in yeonjun's body is about to board a plan when another si heon comes up to him to warn him about the plane crash.
3. now you are wondering how are there two si heon's well going back to 2006 after ingyu's release he meets injured si heon which actually is from 2022 plan crash. to explain this-
4. after the bus accident in 2002 original si heon went into a coma and woke up 6 weeks later when his original soul traveled all the way from yeonjun's body of 2022 to his original body in 2002.

SO IN SHORT FROM THE YEAR 2002- 2023 the limping si heon is the original one. he also witnessed in gyu's death in 2006. AND Si heon in Yeonjun's body is from 2007-2022 plane crash .
HENCE TWO SI HEON'S FROM THE YEAR 2007-2022.

also the og si heon is explaining all of this to 2023 junhee in the end.

haha yes he did BUT after that he also said something along the lines of sorry i thought you were someone i know. and that's because he was mistaken. he also doesn't know who junhee is because the timeline was erased, hence that was si heon and junhee's first ever meeting.

if you are planning to watch both then watch this first and then watch someday or one day as i do think one would enjoy the og version regardless of when you watch itcause that is already brilliant but to enjoy and not compare the remake its best to watch the remake first. also the og one is a bit more slower and confusing than this one.
