well her income is not literally stated in the book but I suppose she doesnt come from a humble family like her peers. Both her parents are rich, even though they are divorced, her mom is financially able. I remember a short paragraph in the book saying something like her mom has several properties around China: beijing, shanghai, etc. So I guess, they are wealthy enough. She’s not crazy rich like chaebol but I guess money was never an issue. hope it answered your question.

in the midst of ep 10, i love how yusen shamelessly “use” her money, ie, claiming receipt, ask her to pay, etc. He did it not because he is poor (well partly because she is rich, so this kind of tease is funny i guess) but compare to ZX, he is not prideful about money. This goes to show, money was never an important element of their relationship, not because they are rich, but because they are not calculative.
