For me, this drama is about embracing failure, finding courage, and fighting for what you believe in. The director’s creative choices really brought that message to life, and the lead actor’s performance is a solid 10/10. Try it for yourself.
a very thorough review. I enjoyed both the novel and drama version. Both version is an art of their own and you captured the essence of the drama perfectly. There’s not much can be produced in 24 episodes but the director’s creativity and leads’ acting deserves a standing ovation. tips for future watchers, youth genre drama is best to binge watch. so enjoy! wow.. I'm petrified when I see more than 200 chapters 😆anyway sharing a list with you. I got it from another MDL user but I think its quite good. I'm open for recommendation too (excluding xianxia, I just cant with the immortality, cultivation, demon stuff 😆)

novel reader here and I love every episodes! The leads are not even my bias and I’m rating this 10 already. As a reader, I look forward to novel adaptations simply because drama/film is an art of its own. There are times where I’m disappointed but not because they didn’t follow the novel closely but its when they chopped things and make the whole drama confusing and unrelatable. I love it when drama grab the essence of the novel and make it their own.

recently I read Chasing Jade/Zhu Yu and The Imperial’s Guard Revenge. Both have strong FL and similar vibe to Rebirth of Star General.
