I hope Esther Yu will lose the baby voice (dont get me wrong, I love her) but I perceived Jiang Mu as someone who is naive but brave, who later turn into a calm sort-of-academician.

Zhu Yu is such a well written novel. A journey of an ordinary young women rise to become a prominent female general and a marquis in search of justice and truth. Maybe because I like strong FC or the dynamic between the couple, or both, but I enjoyed reading it. Hopefully the drama follow the novel closely, if not, I'm also satisfied because I will have two different story to enjoy [both novel and drama].

My recommendation (I'm not sure if you have read them?)

For angsty novel, I do enjoy The First Frost very much. Meanwhile, for healing/second-chance-at-love novel I absolutely love The Best Thing and Blazing Sunlight/Shine on Me.

I read The Prisoner of Beauty & The Stolen Bride/Everlasting Longing recently, but I'm not sure how I feel about them [neither like nor dislike].

Currently in my list is The Legend of the Female General but I haven't had the motivation to start it yet.
