I read the novel. I wouldnt say better. But depends on your genre. TFF has more angst and backstory, meanwhile HL is the sweetness of first love. Both are amazing works by the author.

Hi, we met again!

The first ep of TPR has me doubting ZJM acting skill because I feel like Li Rong is a heavy character - old soul, prideful and vengeful but ep2 onwards, she acted with ease. She truly is talented. I actually enjoyed LR bickering with PWX. There are so many subtle emotions going on and I truly wish this drama a happy ending.

ps: I still cannot move on from AASOL (LeiMai forever, lol)

That what was implied. In the comments below, they also mentioned that SRQ comes back to the past life - but I find it rather odd because you had to die before being "reborn", there is no scene of him dying. So idk, I didnt read the novel tho.

I fell you on SOKP. I got bashed by BL's fan because I commented on why the FL has no feeling. In my defense, that was my first BL's drama, and she was really expressionless in SOKP. But I like her character in Love is Sweet.

Right? They act like the cannot wait to get as far away as possible from each other but at the same time they have this unspoken desire to be with each other - PWX's jealousy, LR's care for him. Too many subtle emotion going on and as someone who was (still) married for 10 years, their bickering is too relatable. I hope their romance will rekindle slowly, get better at communicating, trust each other and overcome challenges together.

I saw many comments about ZJM here too. I actually like her in AASOL and Reset and I think she had a good chemistry with her co-stars, not sure why people commented like that. Perhaps because she was a child actor and many could not accept her mature roles?

how about Li Rong? Does MaiMai dubbed herself too? She sounded a little bit different compare to AASOL

I remember when this was released.. I was like meh, another melancholic drama (even though it has many of my favourite actors in it). But 2 years later, here I am, one clip from TikTok and I rushed to watch it on Netflix. I guess drama watching is a lot like love, it takes the right time. currently at ep 1, I’m counting on the high rating in MDL to have a memorable experience.

I wish I had the patience to watch on website. With two young kids running around and full time wfh, I barely able to finish 1 ep a day. hahaha
