You know, a lot of people commented on LR's character, but what's baffling me the most is PWX. He is a very atypical male lead, quite modern for his time. While many men of that era were chivalrous, masculine, and acted as provider, protector, PWX displays a blend of masculine & feminine. For example, in his first life, he loved LR but didn't do anything to win her back, instead letting her live with SRQ, assuming she was happy.

As you mentioned, he observes LR and tries to change himself for her. For instance, he learns to do makeup and fix hairstyles (quoting LR, though I can't remember which episode), yet he never makes any official statement about his love. Do you understand what I mean? Lol, he's still baffling me

yeah apparently xianxia is a thing in China. Not a fan either. I can accept historical drama tho, but most of the time I prefer to watch modern cdrama. TPR is an exception because of ZLH and ZJM.

Not team SRQ nor do I support LR's action but on another perspective, living together for the past 17 years sure has soften LR's heart regardless of any evil things SRQ does imo

Yeah, I wanted to write TFF reference but couldn’t form a sentence on my brain. Lol. I tried Zhang Ruonan’s Date With The Future but got stuck at ep 5. Not impressed with the plot nor the acting. But I really like TFF and I hope BJT and ZRN will make it work.

At least she was right on point when she said to Petch in the bookstore that she never thought about love and wedding. I think all her life she just wanted to treat her mom illness and be happy, be happy to pursue her dream. Meanwhile petch, coming from a stable family, is eager to get the girl of his dream. Love is normal and should not be so hard, he thinks.
