Ep3 - so I'm a bit confused, how is it only FL that got the fluoride powder on her shoes?
I assumed from the lanterns she utilised in the mask.

An easy to watch, binge-able romance. Very little angst. Good chemistry between main leads. Seriously annoyed by 2FL's character by about half way through, but not enough to stop watching (just did it through gritted teeth when she was talking!).

Very watchable. A survival show based on shaman et al talents. Good on the participants for putting themselves out there.

I was up for watching all of it - good and bad, so a bit disappointed they cut out things eg. 7 readers selected but we only got to see 2-3. I realise editing was needed to keep the episodes under control, but maybe we could have a longer version as well!?

The selection criteria for moving forward was a bit hit and miss - as was the selection on who could read - press the buzzer first! I am sure there were readers who got no opportunity at all.

Going against each other (reader vs reader) when for shamans this is taboo, was a wrong choice I believe, causing unnecessary angst. Team work was beneficial though as readers are often solo and have little interaction with others in the same profession. I think that mixing was good for them and they have built some friendships through the process.

Some of the shaman's personal stories were heartbreaking. Their guides are hard on them. I was sad for Young Master Plum Blossom's story and all the deaths around him.

The very last section of real readings was mesmerising and a bit scary (particularly client #2). I am not sure who the additional judges were - did they specifically bring in non-believers? The score of the first shaman may be explained that way - as that count steadily rose, the more they saw.

The unseen is given more credence in Korea .... it definitely makes me wonder how those sensitive to the other side cope in other cultures where its not so accepted.

OK, I heard so many things about this and how it was even better than the K version. I really couldn't cope with the Qing dynasty hair. It is SO bad with half their heads shaved. What were they thinking!? (I thought it was a sign of loyalty to the dynasty but the king had it too, so....?)

As I basically knew the story (via the K-drama) and couldn't stop looking at the hair, I skipped around every 3-4 episodes - if I jumped to where I didn't know what was going on, I backtracked an episode. So I can't really give a FULL review... except to say I actually did stop looking at just the men's hair.

On a positive note, as it was the last Chinese dynasty, did they use actual artifacts as props? If not, they were well copied. The set design was incredibly detailed and you would think they had filmed on a real site, but apparently not. Likewise costume design was very detailed.

On a negative note, I did not find most of the princes appealing to look at. Even if you get past their hair. I guess that means I like idol dramas - I like a good looking prince!

There were some plot differences and some characterisations differed as well. The endings are a little different but this version made me cry just as hard as the K version - and considering I skipped episodes, this is a testament to the powerful nature of the production.

Loved the ML and his character, emotionally damaged but still able to love and be kind (once you get to know him). Disliked the FL, she is far too thin - if the screen is supposed to add a few pounds she must be skin and bone in real life. 2ML's character was annoying.

Disliked the FL's character from the first episode when she is an adult but still acting like a spoiled brat. At the funeral she falls and has to go to hospital, leaving the ML and child for hours and hours and hours - and returning with a strain/sprained wrist!? WTF? Soldier on lady, there was no broken bone sticking out, you just fell over! Go to the hospital AFTER the funeral if it still hurts! Her self absorption continues on throughout with her determination to get full time/permanent work and flirt with her first love. Who is supposed to the be the legal guardian again, as the ML is doing all the heavy work!? And even when she started to pull back on the 2ML, she is still an airhead. You just lost the child because you let go of the hand in a very busy place and are up on a legal guardian check and you don't shut the front door so the child gets out and falls down the steps!? Why was the door open anyway?

Basically too much time spent on a love triangle. At the most the 2ML should have been a short attraction. The ML and child deserved more screentime, they were the real stars.

A lovely slow paced romance - a bit like the radio segment they do . Its not flashy, not overly dramatic, a couple of characters that annoy you to bits and others that you sympathise with, but overall soothing like a long hug. (Keep in mind its from 2018!)

I saw a review that said this was a "hot mess" so went in prepared - and wasn't disappointed. Its a B grade drama, reasonable to mediocre acting for the most part and a somewhat disjointed plot. Budget was low with some errors let through eg. a supposedly remote location and you hear a car horn, a remote/ huge forest and you see vehicles driving past in the distance.

But really, if you don't expect much, it's not that bad.

The ML carried the drama - he provided the chemistry, could be brooding, crazy and even gentle. I was surprised at the kissing - there is ALOT and some it is quite good, lol.

The FL's character is very annoying with her misunderstanding almost every important event become mandatory. Her loyalty to her brother became very annoying even when his behaviour and actions were revealed and her on again/off again actions became eye-rolling.

I'm a binge watcher but could only manage a couple of episodes at a time , every couple of days. Its hard/heavy going.

First episode was a bit blah, the end of it picked up enough to encourage me to watch Ep. 2. LOTS of fight scenes - sometimes it seemed the storyline was a line of fight scenes connected!

Park Bo Gum was brilliant of course, but he spent a good 90% of the time looking beaten up. Kim So Hyun was OK, but her face was a bit blank. Lee Sang Yi did a great job with his character. Oh Jung Se was a villain to hate, some of the other baddies redeemed themselves at the last minute, but he never did - just bad through and through.

Has anyone noticed Mansik cauliflower ear or am i the only one? It's a nice detail, very smart from the director!

Almost at the end.

Appreciate Zhou Yi Ran's acting, he has levelled up with a complex character and doing it really well.

Some super annoying characters (Ling Bo and her mother) and not sure about the writing when some characters change their view to completely opposite in seconds.

Am I the only one who finds Bao Shang En's face consistently the same? It's fine for newbie/fun/adventure etc., but she seems not to be able to portray sadness/grief/longing/love at all? It is becoming my biggest disappointment in the series.

Only up to Ep 3, but the guys are adorable. Love how friendly and 'normal' they are with the villagers. Feel so sorry for Bo Gum's nervousness and that he didn't pass the hairdressing certificate... damn perms lol (and up against apprentices that get to do perms all day long under supervision before taking their certificate). Lee Sang Yi beavers away busily with everyone. Dong Yeon's time will come to shine I'm sure. I hope the boys get into a routine, take appointments and only accept walk-ins if they can, finish at a reasonable time and don't work too hard! Love the lady from next door, she's funny! Looking forward to watching more!

A bit grittier than S1 and S2. Lee Je Hoon looks more tired (as someone constantly fighting for justice would be). Some great humour as always. Lee Je Hoon doing girl group dancing is fantastic! The tiniest bit of chemistry between Lee Je Hoon and Pyo Ye Jin. Loved seeing Yoon Si Yoon as a baddie, since he's normally such a teddy bear! Only negative for me was there was too much time spent on backstories of those seeking help eg. basically a whole episode on the girl group background.

On Catch the Ghost Mar 14, 2026
Seriously annoying FL who, whilst she is not supposed to be on the spectrum like her twin, must be - because she hardly ever listens/follows rules/does her job - she's just hell bent on doing her own investigation and damn the consequences to her colleagues.

The storyline highlights the pressure that carers of those with high needs face which is good. Everyone needs a break occasionally otherwise the best person can have a meltdown.

The ML is great. The supporting cast (most of them) do a great job. The storyline is kind of slow, but the Subway Ghost's identity keeps you guessing till the end.

As I don't know the actress who plays the FL, I find her attractiveness to multiple male characters a bit surprising - given her styling/presentation and I guess how I see current day actresses "look". Upon investigation, she was apparently the nation's 'little sister' (or something akin to that), so perhaps that explains it.

I actually don't think that 6th prince was the best choice for crown prince, and that it was what he wanted. He…
Prince Zheng did things in the people's best interests, was intelligent and had empathy. He could read people and get the best out of them. He worked really well with Prince An (he knew what An's limitations and strengths were) and he had no interest in harming his brothers for personal gain. Given the other choices the Lord had, he was the best since he felt compelled to select just one. Perhaps Prince Han or Prince Zai could develop into an alternate before the Lord dies - I don't think Prince Zheng would be worried if he was handing over to someone capable and responsible - and it would give him time to be with his beloved Li Wei <3

Ahhh, its so nice to watch a historical from a few years ago that is for the main part, light and bright and happy <3 Love the relationship arcs - love, family, friendship. Not everyone has a fairytale ending but neither are they full of loss/sadness. The wider family pulls together and the touch of melancholy at the end - we're all getting older, life is changing, can we be together in the future, is a realistic moment that we all experience as we're getting older. Definitely on my rewatch list!

Light and fluffy, lots of tropes. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed - just enjoy it for the fluff it is. Towards the end episodes in particular it felt slightly disjointed - maybe they had trouble editing what seems like a big story into 12 episodes so they left some things out - sometimes it felt a bit like a highlight reel. But regardless of that I still enjoyed it.

Definitely a satisfying watch!

I loved the ML - dogged commitment once he'd made up his mind, cute and playful but can be serious. I got a little annoyed periodically at the FL, but it wasn't something I couldn't overcome. 2ML embodied the part of a brilliant, hurt and abused son who had a soft side. 2FL played the ditz beautifully! Some great humour with the villagers and rather than just being downtrodden, you got to see that even the poor can have fun.

The body swaps were done so well that you just believed it. Having the god reveal at the end so you can see the knots he wove, worked really well.

Loved the little epilogue after the credits - so they both got their wishes. He wanted to be together in "this" life, she wanted to be by his side in their "next" life. I like this god!!!

I wish they got to spend time together like a reulaf couple but it’s fine. It’s just a little sorry because…
His mother said near the end, that he worked very hard and diligently as king every day and then immediately ran off his beloved. He was committed (daily!) until he got to be with her properly. The wait was potentially 8-10 years later - if he trained his nephew well he would be ready to take over as a young adult.
