I watched until episode 11, and I feel sad to say that I'm not enjoying it as much as everyone else seems to in the comments. Of course, when the drama is good, it really is good, and it has its epic moments, but I feel like I have to wait too long to get to those moments because I’m not invested in the political issues or the characters' motivations. A lot of the dialogue also feels over the top and overacted to me, like the characters have to proclaim every thought they have, when both the dialogue and the acting could flow more naturally.
Unfortunately, I’m only interested in half of the dragons, and I feel almost no connection to the others at this point. At the beginning, I was curious about all of them, but now that excitement has faded. The female lead is my least favorite dragon, which is disappointing because I was really hoping to like her after the time skip, especially since I enjoyed her character when she was younger. But I didn't :(. It bothers me to see her get watery-eyed and overly emotional in almost every episode; it feels exaggerated and repetitive. It might seem like I’m just complaining for the sake of it, but I really can’t connect with this character (and others) or other aspects of the drama.
I think I’m going to end up dropping it, since I've lost the motivation to continue watching and I can't see myself going through the next 39 episodes.
I haven't seen the main actress or main actor in a drama before, so I'm not sure what to say about them. As for the others... I think I've only seen them in supporting roles that I don’t really remember anymore.
I almost didn't watch this drama because I read the comments section before and now that I finished, it was 100% worth it. I loved the emotional depth it had, and found it really good, with a coherent development and conclusion. The main couple's development was also satisfying for me and I loved their chemistry.
I'm already excited with this drama just from seeing this cast. Ma Dong Seok was an Eternal before and now he will be playing an angel. That'll be interesting to see.
I just watched two episodes and I don't like Suzy's character at all. I probably would have loved this drama in 2011, but right now I think it's not for me. I don't think I'm going to watch this drama until the end.
I don't know why the offscreen chemistry is better than the onscreen chemistry for me.It would have been better…
I completely agree with everything you said. Honestly, I find their off-screen chemistry more enjoyable than what we see on-screen (I loved the promotional videos the leads made together, but in the drama it doesn't feel the same) and the direction of the drama just isn't working for me. The way some scenes are delivered often feels unnatural, which is surprising because I know how talented these actors are from their previous work. The writing has also been quite disappointing :(. That said, I’m still sticking with it because I don't want to drop it. But by the end of each episode, I realize I have more to criticize than things I genuinely enjoyed. I can't help but feel like this is an average work.
My problem with this drama is that things only get fixed is something extreme happens: Seok Ryo's family only…
I agree with you. I actually felt the same when I watched Hometown Cha-cha-cha. Somehow, I don't enjoy the way this writer makes the dramatic part of the drama so extreme. I know some people find it realistic, but for me it just doesn't seem natural.
I know an example of the ML being sick, but it would be a spoiler. In case you want to know, I'm going to make…
He got a health issue later in the drama that I don't remember what it was now, but it was showed in the last two episodes. His sister was a doctor and insisted that he would go to the hospital to get checked because of that medicine he kept taking throughout the drama.
NGL I would have dropped this drama today if it wouldn't be jung hae in , jung so min and the second couple like…
I completely agree. This episode was so frustrating that if it wasn't for the main actors and the second couple I would've dropped as well. I hope it gets better in the following episodes, because I can't stand female lead's parents acting like her dream is dumb, her mom acting like she can control her daughter's life, and these poor plot conveniences like the FL's ex showing up whenever he wants and everything working out for him to be there for longer than necessary. I feel like the plot is dragging things out unnecessarily at this point.

I enjoyed it and recommend it.

But I'm glad this part is over now.
In case you want to know, I'm going to make another comment and mark it as spoiler.
