This would've been a perfect drama if not for the last two episodes. The ending corrects a lot, but still, many conflicts form last two episodes are unnecessary. Considering that this is Japanese drama, FL is not overboard stupid childish, she is very likable, at least to me. Dynamic between brothers is great, ML (with the 'cave man syndrome' ) is likable too. Just fast forward last two episodes , enjoy last few minutes and you will watch a perfect drama.
You know the feeling when everybody is head over heels into a drama but you just don't get it? No matter how much you try? Well, I'm so happy that this drama grabbed me from the very beginning and stil going strong. I understand that some viewers are disappointed and don't understand why so many people is so happy with this drama and I'm sorry for them. I love everything: the story, ML and FL, side characters, the 'bad guy'. Maybe it is lighthearted, but there is so much wisdom hidden in it: it is about forming of a men, in this case the emperor and what is the most important in the relationship. I'm on episode 22 and dying of laughter.
I don't think the actor portraying the ML must have wanted to kiss the FL. She is so unattractive!
He is always good in romance department and even there are no passionate kisses here, there is no doubt that his character is very, very attracted to her. In real life a lot of actors are very shy and they often go and hide themselves after passionate scenes. They also often hide their embarrassment with jokes. So in this case actor will care more for cooperation and mutual consolation and trying to overcome the embarrassment with humor than the attractiveness of the actress. Team player and easy to get along is the most desirable.
The actress is not a classical beauty, but she is not unattractive in my eyes. She is perfect to be this FL. FL is smart, cool, kind, has a cheerful personality and a heart of gold. I find her more beautiful each episode. And this is one of the points of this story.

The only thing they did right and interesting is how and and honest hard working woman loses her promotion to bosses lover. That was done very realistically. Also how the pig of the boss wanted to have his cake and eat it too and bosses lover more interested in bickering and bringing down her betters than in work. I actually went through something similar, but luckily only as an observer.
I wanted to judge for myself. What a waste of excellent actors! Love ML, love FL, seen many other actors before, but this story or maybe editing makes no sense. I gave it 5, only because of the actors. Writing, direction and editing deserves -10.

There are two love triangle. First there is a competition to ML, but this SML is very gentleman like and doesn't cause much problems to anyone. It is very gentle and not disturbing. Great actor, I want to see him in more leading roles. Second is a competition to FL, but this woman is so annoying, cliché and unnecessary, that I was forwarding any scenes with her. They get together multiple times as ML has multiple personalities. There are two breakups with different reasons. They are really finally together in last two episodes. A few very nice kissing scenes.
I absolutely love ML and FL. Second couple si not bad, especially the relationship between ML and second couple male is great. It is also positive that ML' rival is not annoying or disturbing. So it is a very subtitle hint of triangle, very touching.
The other characters and stories and secrets were practically unnecessary. Especially FL' rival - too cliché.
We have seen amnesia a lot, I mena A LOT! But this one was in a way original thanks to Jeremy Tsui. The story was lacking, now and then unbelievable boring and stupid, but than jumped into bilance and back again. Jeremy' performance was outstanding, especially his self-dialogs. He is an actor of million different face expressions, and he slides between them so effortlessly and gently.
I've seen FL in Miss Truth and I like her there and here in this drama. She has great chemistry with ML and she too was subtle and played emotional scenes very realistically.
15 episodes without more than half of the crew and without sub stories and It would've been a 10.
